Up to chapter 3 (view spoiler)[ I feel bad for Graystripe. I think he should be able to mentor his own kits or at least one of them. It's so weird seeing Sandstorm so nice...she's definitely come a long way since the beginning. I don't think Fireheart should be ignoring Cinderpelt and the message from Star Clan. Cinderpelt's still a new medicine cat and ignoring her doesn't help build her confidence level. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11 (view spoiler)[ Okay I remember this book much more now and it's sad to say that it's my least favorite in this series. I still like it but everyone seems so blind in this book. Bluestar's blind to any other types of thread except for treachery. Fireheart won't do anything about the whole loose dog situation. I get that his hands are tied but it doesn't mean he can't warn the clan about the dog or prepare the clan for it. I understand Bluestar's pain but it's so sad to see such a great character and leader acting this way. (hide spoiler)]

I forgot that Mistyfoot and Stonefur was there during Bluestar's death. I think Fireheart did enough to prove his worthiness of becoming a leader. I'm excited to read the last book in this series and see Fireheart become Firestar! (hide spoiler)]

Review: This book felt like such a filler to me. I didn't like it as much as the others I've re-read recently. I totally forgot that (view spoiler)[Bluestar (hide spoiler)] died in this book. This book was just a bunch of going round in circles where (view spoiler)[Bluestar (hide spoiler)] is concerned, and also (view spoiler)[Fireheart too, I suppose, with the crappy way he was treating Sandstorm. I really like the way she stood up to him and didn't let him snap at her. (hide spoiler)] Excited to continue with the 6th one, the last of this arc.

(view spoiler)[ Bluestar is being so terrible, poor Brightpaw. I refuse to acknowledge her new name of Lostface. It's so touching to me to see how much Cloudtail cares about her, it's part of the reason I love him so much.

Fire star is irritating me so much right now. I can understand why he let Brackenfur have an apprentice, but he should've given Bramblepaw to Sandstorm. There was no reason for him to take a kit he hated, and can't treat fairly (hide spoiler)]

I have a grandpa that is dealing with dementia, and I felt a deep connection between Fireheart and Bluestar in this book.
