Bookmarvel | 2 comments Please help I just thought of this book again and I can not remember the title.
children's/ya book i think

So there's this small town that's got a wall around it and is cut off from the rest of the world.
There's a group of 4-5 friends. Technology is really advanced, like parents can "dampen" their children's like bad characteristics and modify them to some percentage like 17% or something.

Then this new family moves in down the street (it's a cul-de-sac) but she's a robot with really good AI that was an old experiment that's being brought back. I forget her name but i think it starts with A.
Edit: Her name is Ilana.

At the end of the cul-de-sac is a really old house that the kids explore and find an old computer with folders with information on different AI experiments. That's where they start to realize that the girl is a robot. There's also honey and/or jam. The main character gets stung by a lot of bees and they get out of there.

The robot girl goes in the pool one day and kinda shuts down and has to go to the hospital or something a town over.

The friends realize that the robot girl will be shut down because her AI couldn't fit in with other kids like the scientists thought so they make a plan for her to escape to the outside world.

I know this is really scattered but if anybody could help that would be so awesome.

If not,
How many years ago did you read this book?
Anything about the cover?
Part of a series?
