Worldcat has 627. Amazon has 672. Are you saying what you are saying based a book you are holding in your hands with ISBN13: 9780553393705?

There is something odd here with the covers too. I'm going to leave this to some other (maybe more experienced) librarian to handle.

Mic, there may be an excerpt from the next book at the end of the tie-in edition you have, 9780553393705. If it's there, are those pages numbered?
It looks like that edition originally had 656 as the page count, and it's been changed multiple times without specific change comment. There is more than one cover for the tv show tie-in editions, which explains the discrepancy btwn this and the edition linked to on BN; although it also looks like the current cover was from a UK edition, so it could be incorrect? Which cover do you currently have?
ISBN 9780440242949 page count has also been changed multiple times, ranging from 600-800 something pages. Worldcat listed ISBN 9780440242949 to have 850 pages.

But without being absolutely sure that it wasn't ever published on any other edition, I would not change it.

Page count changed to 850.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... (ISBN13: 9780553393705) should match https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... (ISBN13: 9780440242949), and say 896 pages.
