Hi all! When I was a young teenager (about 25 years ago) my great aunt gave me an old paper back from her collection. Since her death, I've tried to remember the name so I can re-read it. I can not think of it.... maybe someone here can? It was about a girl in the 20's or 30's that moves to Hollywood along with her mother, to become a movie star. From what I remember it seems like she falls in love while she's in Hollywood. I want to say the mother betrays the daughter but that could be wrong... 25 years is a long time. lol ;) Thank you for reading this. And thank you to anyone that can help!

Roxanne by Jane Claypool Miner? Is the girl young when she moves to Hollywood? Did the book follow her through her life and career for very long?
Could it have been a YA book? Some elements of Joan Lowery Nixon's Hollywood Daughters series fit your memories.

Glad to help, April! It's a good one. And, if you like Roxane, it's part of a whole series of young women at different points in U.S. History. https://www.goodreads.com/series/4181...
