Oh, yay!

I posted my reviews for Knights of the Borrowed Dark (Knights of the Borrowed Dark #1) by Dave Rudden and The Kindness Club (The Kindness Club, #1) by Courtney Sheinmel .

I did some reshuffling, and when you finish Hunted, Susan, and I finish Bug Girl we will be able to close out 3 categories and get 30 extra points!

We only need a book beginning with "U" and a book beginning with "J" to close out the fourth category.

Looking for Alaska could be moved to "U" -- U potrazi za Aljaskom -- if we have another book set in a boarding school. I was thinking my Knights of the Borrowed Dark is set in an orphanage -- think that would count? Any of your books set in a boarding school?

Rose, are you reading Just One Year?

What are the rest of you reading?

I added the color code purple to the books I moved, and grey is where the books were previously.

Ananya | 252 comments I just finished reading Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum so that it can fit the "reading a book with food on the cover" but since Everything, Everything can fit that category, I'm not sure where to place this book. Any suggestions?

Also, TJ I think the reshuffling is perfect!! Thank you!!

Excellent!
You can post it under:
Ütle mulle kolme asja
- Book that begins with the letter U

Thanks! But if it something doesn't suit someone's current reading, we can reshuffle -- no problem! :)

Now we just need a book that starts with "J" to complete the game at least one time...

T.J. Burns | 2698 comments So according to Abby's record, to close the second part, we still need:

- Read a book with a house on the cover (or in the title)
Bug Girl (Bug Girl, #1) by Benjamin Harper TJ is currently reading.

- Read a book featuring an orphan
The Forever Court by Dave Rudden -- Elizabeth marked as finished, but still needs to post the review.

To close Part 3, we still need:

- Watch out for the hunter! Read a book with the words ‘hunter/hunted/hunt’ in the title.
Hunted by Meagan Spooner -- Susan is currently reading.

And for Part 4, we still need:
J, Just One Day (Just One Day, #1) by Gayle Forman -- Rose marked as finished, but still needs to post a review.
and
J, Just One Year (Just One Day, #2) by Gayle Forman -- Rose marked as "to read", but I don't know the status.

Of course we need all the other books everyone is reading for points, too... So just put them anywhere...

Ananya | 252 comments I've put up all the reviews for all the books I've read so far - I'm rereading ACOWAR right now but it won't be counted for this challenge (but really, I'm rereading a 700 page book that I love so it really should be counted haha) so I think that's about all I'm going to read for this month (unless I finish ACOWAR early and read a quick book)
Once again, thanks TJ for the reshuffling and for suggesting to put Tell Me Three Things under books that start with the letter U - I never would have thought of that!! :)

Thanks, Elizabeth! I know the feeling. I facilitated workshops the past two weekends in addition to my normal workload -- I haven't read nearly all the books I planned to this month. But I read some I didn't plan to -- because of the categories. That's why I love these challenges -- they get me to read books I may not have otherwise chosen (and some of them have been gems!).

I sent Rose a message to remind her to post her "J" book reviews. I know she has finished at least one of them (just needs to write and post review). I pulled two "J" middle grade books out last night that I thought I could read quickly just in case -- I started one last night and it's a quick read.

I didn't finish Bug Girl (Bug Girl, #1) by Benjamin Harper because I'm reading it with my daughter and she was asleep when I got back from the university last night. I'll post our review tomorrow.

Anything you could post for points would help. Other than the two J books, you can post your book anywhere.

Even if we finish all parts, I don't think we can win this thing, but maybe we could come in second. But I was thinking the pride of finishing all the categories, plus the pride in a job well done, is reward enough! Ahhhhh, I am such a romantic. :) description

Ha! You're very welcome. I figure if I can't read fast, at least I can offer my puzzle solving skills to the team! ;)

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments We had a fun good group this time. Thank you all for the fun month of reading!!!

message 165: by T.J. (new)

T.J. Burns | 2698 comments I agree! This has been a great team! I loved hearing about what you all were reading and what books you liked and disliked! I got some new ideas to add to my (already mega-long) "to-read" list!

I'd love to keep in touch with all of you -- buddy read, reading tips, etc. And I'm sure we'll get teamed up again (and again, I hope)!

message 166: by Elizabeth Emily (new)

Elizabeth Emily Browne (snakesandladderrs) | 2186 comments I second that! I'd love to keep in touch with you all too!

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 2605 comments Me too!!!

TJ I am reading The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins is there any spot we need filled that it would cover? Not sure it will mater but I will finish it today.

message 168: by T.J. (last edited May 31, 2017 01:56AM) (new)

T.J. Burns | 2698 comments So I posted my review for Bug Girl (Bug Girl, #1) by Benjamin Harper and I quickly read a middle-grade "J" book yesterday: Jack Ferrington and the School for Swabbies by Clint Perry and posted my review. All that's missing now to complete the last section is Rose's review for Just One Day (Just One Day, #1) by Gayle Forman (and any other books you're all reading for points).

Final Strech! Whooooo hooooooo!

YES!!!!!! It will fill our final "J" book spot:
Jogos Vorazes

Just add this link to the description:
Description: Book that begins with the letter J
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8...

Yaaaaaaay! That would close all the categories at least once! We are awesome! description
