I just read Halfway to the Grave: A Night Huntress Novel and love the series especially the first and second. I just finished Born in Fire (Fire and Ice Trilogy Book 1) and can't wait for book 2 . Please tell me any other books you would recommend that are similar ...

Have you read J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series? It's got a lot of great world-building and lots of steamy scenes.

P.S. I also love the Night Huntress novels! Cat & Bones are great!

Maybe try Guild Hunter by Nalini Singh?... Night Huntress is a hard series to think of something quite the same as...

Do you just want vampire books or any supernatural themed ones?

If you don't care if vamps aren't a huge part of the story then I can't recommend Cecy Robson's Weird Girls series enough. It does have vamps but the main characters are shapeshifters/weres.

Also the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and her Hidden Legacy trilogy is amazing as well.

The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs is also about werewolves dominantly but there are some vampires in it as well but not as love interests.

Kim Harrison's Hollow series has both witches, vampires, and weres in it among other things. Also very good.

These all have the same feel as far as steamy scenes and the strong female and male roles in a supernatural world without being too fantasy but still having magic and whatnot in it.
