Crystal demands to be part of Dina's rescue. Was this realistic despite the outcome?

Everyone underestimated what Crystal was capable of doing. But for her hearing loss, she would have been a kick-ass LVPD officer. She had never had the opportunity to prove the depth of her abilities and her commitment. I'm glad these guys, all except Johnny (who has blinders on), realized she was capable and gave her the chance to contribute.

That was an important point to remember about her qualifying to be a LVPD policewoman. I still thought that she lacked the necessary training to pull this off but the alternative was to leave her alone. Given the options, it probably was realistic. She handled herself.

I didn't think it was realistic at first, she did surprised me with the way she handled herself, gearing up to take down Yao the first night she was in Jakarta. I don't think BOI had a choice but to let her come. Dina might not have gone with them voluntary if there wasn't someone there she could trust.

It was realistic to me since this wasn't a military operation with rules and regs. Everything they do is off the grid and anything goes so it worked in the story.

I do think it was somewhat realistic given she had qualified to be a policewoman so she at least had the basics. And she was tough enough to not give in to her fear of heights so she could continue with the rescue.
