We learn at the onset that Crystal caved and has a casual relationship with Johnny. Were you surprised or did you figure it was inevitable?

[Anita]

I was a little surprised, but not really. Crystal was looking for HEA and settling for the short term. Johnny was just another in a long line of short term relationships for her.

[Jonetta]

I was surprised, too, especially after how the last book ended where she wasn't giving him the time of day.

[Anita]

But, Johnny was a real persuasive personality and what was there not to like if short term was what you were used to settling for.

[Quynh]

I wasn't really surprised considering they did get together right away after the last book.

[Laura]

I wasn't surprised, their chemistry was evident in the last book.

I was sorry for her. She really wanted Mr. Forever and kept settling for Mr. Right Now. Johnny was another she had no real expectations that he would stick.

In a Historical-Romance, Johnny would have been called a rogue. I really liked him, for all his faults and his great traits too.

I was kind of surprised that Johnny and Crystal were already in a casual relationship when the book started. I thought the story would be more about her giving in to his seduction.
