Alexis | 69 comments I've heard great things about all the books I want to read (IT, Sherlock, and American Gods). So I really look forward to reading them!

I've read Throne of Glass and really enjoyed it. I need to read the second one though so I can get to Heir of Fire.

So any books we finish after the start date count towards tower teams? This challenge is a couple months long right?

Caroline (carolinet12) | 249 comments Yeahhhh !! Sarah J Maas is a sooo good author and her instagram account is great to follow also!

I thought that only books we begin after the challenge starts count ?? Is not it would be awesome because I have many big books ongoing!

Tayla Potayta (taylapotayta) | 0 comments I loved six of crows

message 55: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (carolinet12) | 249 comments Hey Alessandra :)

I finally finished Six of Crows at midnight **So tired today loll**

I couldn't put it down once I got into the action at the end of the book ! I had trouble getting really into it in the beginning because the author takes a lot of time introducing every character (they each have a very distinct personnality and they come from different places in their world). But once you get into the action you really have to finish the book because you CANNOT put it down :)

message 56: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments Yes, books must be STARTED on or after May 4th to count. If anyone has any questions about general rules, this is a great thread post to look at:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Caroline-Okay, I think I will try it and hopefully be as into as you!

At the moment, I have just been reading books to finish up some challenges in another group. Reading My Life in Pink and Green by Lisa Greenwald and listening to the audio of Key Lime Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke.

message 57: by Reed (new)

Reed (reedraab) Alexis- that would be awesome! And American Gods is very entertaining; is anyone here going to watch the show? I think it started this week.

Dawn- I'll definitely check out The Lost World, thanks for the rec!

Right now I'm finishing up the latest Walking Dead book Search and Destroy

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments I just want you all to know that I will be at a conference until Saturday. I will be able to answer any of your questions but will not be able to edit the spreadsheet until Saturday. Just remember to add any completed books into your tower teams shelf and I will make sure to edit he spreadsheet on Saturday.

Tayla- if you can do the spreadsheet until Saturday that would be great but if you have any problems I will get to it Saturday!

message 60: by Caroline (new)

message 67: by Alexis (new)

Alexis | 69 comments I finished The Circle, 493 pages.

I'll add DQs or answer some. Do I need to notify you if we participate in DQs?

message 68: by Reed (new)

Reed (reedraab) Woot Woot! Alexis is on the board!

I'm not sure if they check if you answered the questions or not, I assume it's the honor system.

message 69: by Joy (new)

Joy | 281 comments Are we posting our read books here or will we have a thread in the read books folder?

Either way, I finished this one:

message 70: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments I'd prefer everything in one spot but if the rest of the team wants another bread I will ask the mods. I will take a look at the spreadsheet today and fix it if needed!

message 71: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (carolinet12) | 249 comments Hi Guys !

I just came back from the library and got a little overboard ! I got my hands on The Circle, so I'll read it real quick and answer questions on BOMs !!

As well as many other books -_- lol

Wishing you a great rainy reading day :)

message 72: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments Alexis wrote: "I finished The Circle, 493 pages.

Great! Yes, please post the link to your answered DQ's whenever you answer them!

message 73: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments Okay, our spreadsheets are updated. So far Joy and Alexis both have one book read and the pages and points are put in.

Aliakbar never signed in so I will assume we will get a replacement player once I let the mods know.

Remember whenever you finish a book to put it in your tower teams shelf. If the points don't add automatically, i will go in and check the page number and put the default page number from the book on the page override and you will see the points come up.

If you answer DQ's please just post the link to your completed thread post for the questions so I can check.

If anyone has other questions, please let me know.

At the moment, I am not having a books read thread opened for us. I would rather just have one thread so I don't have to check multiple ones, so post here. If everyone decides they would rather another thread then I will ask for you, but I am comfortable with just this thread.

How was everyone's weekend?

message 82: by Reed (new)

Reed (reedraab) Sweet!

I had a pretty good weekend: hung out with my grandma on Saturday and then had game night with a few friends :-)

How was yours?

message 83: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments My weekend was pretty packed. I had work on Saturday. Saturday night I was taken out for my birthday to an escape room. Sunday I went to a birthday lunch with my family and then took my niece for icecream. It was fun but definitely went too fast!

message 84: by Reed (new)

Reed (reedraab) Well Happy Birthday, Alessandra! Sounds like you had a great birthday weekend!

I LOVE escape rooms!! We've done so many on LI and in NYC that we are running out of them. I think my favorite one was the Zombie Lab in Cincinnati, it was our first one too and we were with strangers but it was a really good one!

message 85: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra Casiello (apetrino1) | 320 comments Thank you Reed!

Yeah they are a lot of fun, I run them for the families and teens at my library and I have been to 1 at another library. This was the first one I went to at an escape room place though and it was fun!

I am a taurus too ! I had a long weekend of 4 days.. it was so relaxing, I read a lot, saw my family for birthday dinners and got to hang out with my niece and nephew.

I went once to an escape room and really liked it, though we didn't make it out loll. Hope you had a good time :)

Looks ok to me. As long as you have evidence and the points are working out then everything should be fine :) We just like the traceability so we can verify if needed.
