I agree Katharine (view spoiler)[was different once she returned from the Breccia domain. I think the quickening changed all of the queens in one way or another. At least they all seemed more determined to kill each other. Katharine absorbing the Goddess powers is a curious idea. I could very well see that happening in a story like this. Only it might give Katharine too much power when compared to the other queens and that might take the thrill out of their killing race. (hide spoiler)]

It may be imbalanced, unless Katherine (view spoiler)[ can't harness the power. It feels like each queen has their own battle with their power. Mirabella can't control water and Arsinoe hasn't even been trained in her power. (hide spoiler)]

The one thing I can't understand is their mother. She is (view spoiler)[ responsible for knowing the girls' powers at birth. Why would she intentionally switch the girls. I feel like the answer to that involves Jules, but I have no proof. Just gut instinct. (hide spoiler)]
