VijiS | 20 comments Hey guys,

I've been trying to find this story from few days and can't seem to find it.

The story is medieval (highland I think) romance novel.

"Heroine is on run to convent with the help of one of trusted elder man accompanying her since she does not want to marry the man her father has chosen (i.e., hero). I think she is English or half English or rival clan. I'm not sure on that. She has sight. A gift or curse she got from her mother. She can sense people's feelings like happiness, hate, anger, pain, sadness like that.

Hero is coming to marry heroine when he was ambushed. The place was near by where heroine was hiding. She senses his pain and goes in search for him. Finds him, brings him with the help of the elder man and nurses the hero. Hero becomes blind for few days due to injury to his head. She realizes he has come for her and lies to him about her identity. Hero does not come to know that until she enters inside the convent. But he manages to get married to her using the elder man as pawn.

Heroine's father is a cruel man who hurts her because she has sight like her mother. He had been locking them in tower since she had been a child. and he is getting her married to hero only because he knows hero hates people having fae power....anything to connecting to witch....and thinks hero will definitely kill heroine once he comes to know of it. Hitting the two with one stone strategy.

I liked this story a lot but can't seem to remember the name.

Please anyone if had read help me finding this story.

Thank you.......

SamSpayedPI | 2306 comments If you post some details (not spoilers, but general facts and plot points) in the header, people are more likely to respond.

Instead of "help me to find this book" (why else would you be here? Everyone's looking for a book; that's the point of the page) you could say something like "Historical romance (Scotland?) -- empath heroine fleeing to convent from arranged marriage" or something to that effect, along with the year it was published (or read), what the cover might have looked like, etc. People who actually might have read the book would recognize it, and others who have a vague memory of reading something similar may offer suggestions. Otherwise, you're lost in a sea of "Help!"s and "Can't remember the title!"s.

I understand your point but I really don't remember the title, year it was published.....only thing I remember is the story line.

I'll try to ask for help in better way next time keeping in mind your point. Thank you. :)

For this time can I use your title, it is apt and I really can't seem to think of putting it in better way. Once again Thank you for your suggestion.

A long shot - Highland Sinner by Hannah Howell?

VijiS, what year did you read this book? This will help narrow down the search.

Thank you Kris.

But this is not the one. I read the story last year but it was published years before. I could have gotten it from kindle or amazon history but my laptop got crashed and had to change the OS and feed all the app again so the problem.

The main character was a laird and there was no former lover. Actually hero does not trust witches because he thinks the old healer woman in his village murdered his brother's wife who is little bit crazy on hero. She preferred hero over her husband. I think she took some medicine from the old woman's garden without her knowledge and consumed it so to miscarriage the baby she is carrying but sadly she died at the end. Hero knows about her craziness for him but not the other things. He feels guilty for his brother.

So, he thinks all the person who has psychic ability is bad witch. His own brother who had been

Heroine understanding his hate towards special people does not disclose this to him until later.

Plus I am sure this is medieval story but I also have doubt whether it is knight or laird theme of story.

Bump period means........

MJ | 1617 comments A bump is when you make a "comment/bump" on your thread after it has been quiet for 30+ days.

A few threads are solved in minutes, most take longer... some take years. Patience is key (if irritating ;).

VijiS | 20 comments I also remembered Heroine after hero finds out her psychic ability is angry/aloof. Around that time heroine senses someones pain so strongly she rushes out of the KEEP looking for hero thinking he is in danger but it turns out to be he is al right but a child/toddler fell into the sea and hero rushes to save him when heroine urges she feels someone is in pain.

I also think people starts to look at heroine curiously and hero tries to dissolve it.

Thank You Jenny

But this is not the story I'm looking for. There is no brother for heroine in my described story. But yes Hero has a brother who is the villain of the story.
