Thoughts so far- (view spoiler)[I think the character that I find the most interesting so far is Inej. Her story is mysterious and I feel like holds back a lot. Kez obviously is the leader right now and so far I like his character but I'm wanting more from him...

The story is keeping my interest so far but I feel like it's moving a bit slow right now. However, that could be my lack of reading time so maybe its because I haven't had much time to read this week. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[I agree about Inej... But at that stage we had only a glimpse of the other characters. Kaz is interesting, but a bit too much of a prodigy? Even 17 year old thieves are inexperienced on some levels... ;)

I also didn't read the Grisha trilogy. I DNF really early on the series,

(view spoiler)[The hinted romance for Inej and Kaz kinda bore me since it feels the same as the one between Matthias and Nina. Forbidden love everywhere, lol. It reads like a poor excuse for angst and I'm not sure I can get on board for two couples like that.

I'm on the last 60 pages and I feel like it's picking up finally. For some reason it feels super dragy during the middle to me.

Finished- I like it well enough and will probably read the next one just to see what happens. I didn't care for the pacing though.

I agree about (view spoiler)[Nina and Matthias... Their relationship is the most interesting of the bunch. It also feels too easy that there are 6 people and three couples... -_-' (hide spoiler)]

Also (view spoiler)[I don't understand how there can be tanks while people are travelling like it's the middle ages. Altering a drug is besides chemically complex. You need instruments/tools and knowledge to manage it. That's how people made LSD and that wasn't longer than 80 years ago. (hide spoiler)]
