Hikaru clamped his eyes shut. This is normal. This is normal. This...is normal....right? He couldn't help feeling that it was wrong. This was what caused him to scoot out his chair and pull the short girl behind him, not that he was too intimidating. "S-stop," he growled. He hadn't spoken to anyone in anything other than a whisper before, so his throat rasped and made his voice sound deeper and scarier than it really was. This caused the boy to flinch. "Gross. Let's just leave the freaks to themselves! I don't wanna catch whatever they have," one girl hissed, though her legs were shaking. It didn't take too long for them to flee. Hikaru shrunk back into his obviously weak form and shyly turned toward the girl. "S-sorry," he mumbled and then reached for his computer.
Mana who had just been trying to leave, was shoved into a stranger. She did gasp slightly, but wasn't too surprised about it. She stood behind Hikaru, with blank, yet confused expression. She brushed it aside, and watched them leave, not noticing that she was gripping her PSP very tightly for some reason. Mana then looked at him. "Don't be." She said quickly. She had noticed that many students in Ouran had found him creepy, but she didn't see anything wrong with him. She thought about what the bullies had said, and held back a soft sigh. "They find you weird too, I suppose." Mana said, not really sounding sympathetic. She didn't try to come off as apathetic, that's just how she is. She turned off the PSP, and put it in the small backpack hanging on her shoulders. "If anything, I should apologize." She added, almost a mumble. Most of what she said to people was a jumble of mutters and mumbles, and more often than not, she'd have to repeat herself. Which personally, she did find irritating.
((Oh my gosh, sorry for the shortness compared to what you posted))
((Oh my gosh, sorry for the shortness compared to what you posted))

Hikaru, luckily, spoke mumble well, as he was fluent in it. "I've never been social, so I don't know what's right or wrong. Or what or...who's weird...," he replied, voice actually a bit softer than the girl's. His tone was not nearly as deep as it had been, and all roughness had vanished. He kept his shimmering eyes averted, the glare from his glasses aiding in his attempt to shield himself from the confrontation. Then he stepped a good bit away from her and fussed over his computer. It was his life, his earnings, and he was also in the middle of a critical moment in a dating sim. He said nothing, he didn't know what or how to. The only men he had spoken to were the lackeys of his employer, and the only woman was his mother. His shoulders visibly trembled and for a moment he worried over hiding his bony hands. The school uniform hung loosely on him, but did well to hide the fact that he was malnourished and not just a bit skinny. With the status of this school, it was likely that someone wouldn't believe he could rarely feed himself. If he could eat more than he did, he would.
((Okay!))
Mana simply nodded, not having a hard time understanding what he had said. She was glad that his voice wasn't as deep as it had been earlier, or else she probably would've fan-girled comparing it to a video game character's voice. She noticed that he had distanced himself, and decided to take a step back as well to comfort him. Normally, she'd leave him be and go find somewhere quiet, but she found a slight happiness in the fact that in some way, he was similar to her. Even if it was for other reasons. She put the PSP away, and looked at his trembling shoulders and how loose the uniform was on him. Shifting her gaze to something else, her eyes darted from the door, and then back to his desk. She wondered if she should leave. He didn't seem like the type who enjoyed social interaction, though, Mana could easily be judging his personality wrongly. She didn't base this off the fact that he had never been very social, due to the fact that some people who aren't social, love to interact with others. She awkwardly stood there, as silence filled the almost empty classroom.

Mana's face lit up, and she took a few small steps towards him. "Really? You really want to know?" She asked excitedly. She was speaking louder now, and practically glowing with happiness. Not too many people asked her about games, or asked her anything in general. "Well, I play a lot of action games, and sometimes puzzle games as well." Mana added. While he had been getting quieter as his sentence went on, Mana was getting a bit louder. She started to barrage him with questions like, "What's you favorite game?", "What's your favorite game character?", etc. She had a tendency to get over excited, and usually annoy the other person she had had been talking to. She realized that she was probably doing that now, and quickly took another small step away. "Sorry." She muttered again, but still looking happy/excited.

Mana watched him burst out in laughter, with a curious look on her face. A slight smile appeared on her face, though it didn't last very long. "Dating sims are very nice too." She said, not as excited as before, but still excited. "You play Mystic Messenger? Which person if your favorite??" She asked him, her calmness a minute ago disappearing again. "Mochu..Okay, call me Mana." She said, noticing that his cheerfulness went away suddenly. She frowned slightly at this, but said nothing. What would she have said anyways? She looked down at his laptop. "That's a nice model." She commented, getting closer to the desk, and not to him so she wouldn't scare him another time. Mana didn't touch, she just looked at it. She knew the feeling all to well of someone looking at something of hers, and it being broken a while afterwards. The thought made her sigh.

Hikaru smiled that small smile, the one that suggested that he was happy that someone had finally spoken to him in a friendly manner. "Thank you... I don't really know which model it is, though... But, um, anyway, I think it's a tie between Saeyoung and Zen... Saeyoung...it too like me, I think, for him to be my sole favorite... Although, I really wish I had a brother... Even if...y'know... But, um, Zen makes me happy. He's very attractive and he also reminds me of me... I aspire to be more like him... In the sense that he may be insecure, but he's proud of who he is," he replied. He rambled a bit in that soft, stuttering way he did. In truth, the character of Saeyoung Choi had a special place in his heart. After finishing that character's route, he had sobbed like he never had before, for several reasons. The first was simply because of the story itself. The second was due to how similar his own story was to the character's. The third...was envy. He was jealous that Saeyoung had broken away from what had kept him unhappy. He found a person who made him feel good, a person he could love and express every feeling with, and then he pursued his brother in the name of love and righteousness and family. If he was in danger, all his mother would worry about would be someone showing up to feed her and pay her bills and clean up after her, someone to hit when she was irritated. Saeyoung found an escape, and Hikaru's was the cheerfulness of Zen's route.
Mana listened to him, nodding every so often. "I like Zen as well." She said, noticing his small smile. It made her feel happy inside, mainly because she was actually maintaining a conversation with someone, and because she might be in the process of making a friend. She didn't have many friends growing up, and she had barely any now. She put her hands in her hoodie pockets because they were getting cold, and started to think. "Have you ever tried to create a dating sim?" She asked. Mana had seen him around the school every so often, but he seemed to be with his computer a lot, which led her to believe that maybe he was programming, or something like that.

(Picture a really well-drawn, sexy-ass dating sim character lolol)
((lolol okay))
"Can I play it once you get voice actors?" Mana asked, and then looked at his computer screen. She refrained from swooning at the sight of the character. "How can one person create something as beautiful as that?" She remarked, a bit dramatically. "Yeah, you should name him." Mana added, wondering why the character was so special to him. She assumed it was because it was his first original character. "I have no drawing skills at all whatsoever." She said, sighing a little. "Otherwise, I would try to make a game, or an original character."

"Um, y-yes! Thank you! You can play it once it is complete! I have some other characters, but... I find that I don't like when a dating sim has a limit on who can play it. It's either directed at girls, or guys and their love interests' genders are always the opposite. I...I also hate the harem-type setting. Sometimes, it's alright, but I find that I'm so drawn to Mystic Messenger because your choices decide an ending. But I want the player to be able to give their character depth and a face that can be put into the pictures with the love interests... And I really want male and female suitors, and no limit to what their sexualities could be. This character here, he is supposed to be bisexual. And he's forward, but respectful, and booksmart, but dumb with simple things. He's protective, but gentle and not overbearing," he rambled, smiling at the computer screen. Then his face went red and his eyes widened. "I-I'm sorry... I was... I'm sorry..."
"No, no, don't be sorry." Mana said. "Those are great ideas." She added. "I feel like I should thank you. After all, most dating sims are either based around guys who like girls, or girls who like guys." She said, sighing. Mana was coming out of her shell around Mochu. She felt like she could go on for hours discussing games and things like that. She looked at the character he had drawn, and nodded. "He seems like the type with that personality." She commented. Mana went silent for a moment. "Would..you um, wanna become friends of sorts? Or something..?" She asked with an embarrassingly awkward tone. She was horrible at this sort of thing.
Crazy-Person (PleaseMoreKisses) wrote: "(Tomorrow, I'm going to put up a picture of one of my actual OCs. I must.)"
((Oooh okay!))
((Oooh okay!))

Mana was silent for a moment, still sort of shocked at the fact that he said yes. "Don't..be sorry." She said. "I don't have very many friends, but I'll try my best to be a good one." She added, voice back in a mumble. She stared at him, wondering what exactly was happening inside his head and such. She came to the conclusion that he needed to be protected. "Are you planning to go eat lunch?" She asked, gently kicked her right foot into the floor. You could tell by her mannerisms, that she was a very introverted person.

Hikaru flinched at her question, lowering his gaze back to the laptop screen. "Um... I, um, cannot... I don't eat lunch here... Thank you for asking, though," he told her, trying to keep his stomach from growling at just the mention of a meal. "Um... If you're hungry, we c-can go, but... People will l-look at us oddly..." He fiddled with his fingers again, eyes a bit too wide and movements jumpy. If she realized that he rarely ever got to eat anything, would she tell someone? Would that someone find out what he has been doing? How he got into the school? He couldn't help but feel as if he wanted to cry.
((*Cough* What year should Yuu be?))
((And yes lol))
((And yes lol))
Mana wasn't hungry, she usually skipped lunch..to fuel her obsession. She nodded. "Alright then." She said, shaking her head a bit quickly. "No, I'm not hungry, thanks though.." She replied, and noticed his movements, etc. She had been trying to keep quiet about it, not wanting to get him upset, but she could no longer do so. "Mochu, is everything okay?" Mana asked him, her voice sounding a little stern.

Hikaru thought that the conversation was over when she said she wasn't hungry, and his shoulders began to relax, but when she spoke again, he flinched hard. His eyes widened and he looked shocked to the bone, his heart beginning to race. "I...um...I," he mumbled, pulling his blazer past his hands as he had before. Something in him desperately wanted to tell her, but he knew that he shouldn't, that he couldn't. "My...my...m-m-mother makes, um, l-lunch at..home for me... Yes... She does... I don't eat h-here...because she makes f-f-food for me...," he stuttered in response, sounding almost breathless. His mother making food, much less for him, was a thing that Hikaru could only dream of. He felt as if Mana would let the subject go, but then his stomach snarled angrily at him, causing him to flinch again. This time he clamped his eyes shut and waited for Mana's response.
((Alrighty, I'm starting him now.))
Mana was about to believe what he had said somewhat, but all the stuttering, and his stomach growling, made her think otherwise. She sighed softly, unsure about how to go about this. She noticed his eyes were clamped shut. Is he scared..? She thought to herself. "Look, I won't ask about anything, but come with me." She said, almost commanding him. It didn't sound mean or anything, it was a concerned tone. For once, she felt the actual need to be protective in a way, but at the same time, not really. She pulled off her backpack, and took out a small wallet from it. She didn't say anything more as she pulled out some money, and then put it back in the bag. She put the backpack onto her shoulders again. "What would you like to eat?" She asked him, breaking the silence once again.

"Your mother won't what..?" Mana asked him catching part of what he had said. This made her suspicious in one way or another. She seriously hoped nothing bad was going on at his home, but she decided not to assume the worst. "Don't worry, It'll be like I'm buying a meal for myself..Except it's for you because I'm not hungry." She said, getting more worried by the second. Worry wasn't shown on her face, but you could tell she was. Mana noticed his trembling and stuttering was worse, and for some reason, she felt the need to give him a hug. She didn't though, for two reasons. Her introverted nature stopped her, and the fact that he would probably freak out.

Mana watched him, and then shifted her gaze to the floor. "I see.." Was all that came out. She decided to leave him be for now, but she did have a plan. She gave him a slight smile. "Sorry for pestering you about it." She said, taking a step away to show that she was done bothering him. She really had a lot of questions now, but the boy in front of her seemed, in a way, very fragile. At least, in her eyes it seemed so.
((Hey, hey, I was wondering if we could do a timeskip to the next day, because I kind of want her to leave a bento on his desk that she made, so he couldn't say that money shouldn't be wasted on him? I dunno, I tried to think of an idea DX))

((I don't mind! And you wouldn't mess it up ^^ Would you like me to post now?))
Mana woke up early to make a bento, and so she could get to the classroom first. She walked up to the door, and opened it, making sure no one was there. With a slight exhale of relief, she stepped in, and walked to her own desk. Mana slipped her backpack off gently, and opened it up. She pulled out a rectangular bento box, and then closed her backpack again. She looked around carefully once more, and then went over to Mochu's desk. She set it down, without writing a note, though, it'd be kind of obvious that it was her. She sat down at her desk and took out her PSP as students began to file into the classroom. She turned it on, and went onto a new level in her game. She made sure the volume was down this time, so she wouldn't have another incident where the volume went off when she snuck it out in the middle of class.

Mana would glance at him every so often as he sat there. She noticed the bruise on his cheek causing her to frown. She hoped that the bruise on him wasn't her fault. There wasn't a name on the bento saying it was from her, or anything of that sort. She put the PSP away, and yawned softly, looking over at Mochu. She wasn't sure if she should approach him after class or not, but she knew that she needed to find out the cause of his bruise. If there were more, than she'd definitely need to know. Whenever Mana got a friend, she'd become very protective of them, and almost annoying to the point where they'd ignore her and act as if they'd have never met. She slouched a bit, and traced some writing that was on her desk.

Mana did her class work like she was supposed to, getting distracted by little things every now and then. She gathered her things, wondering if she should stay with him, or leave. She noticed he looked very serious all of a sudden, which made her raise an eyebrow. She stood up quietly so she wouldn't disturb him, and then walked towards him. She didn't say anything, because she was waiting for him to finish with what he was doing. Mana had to admit, his seriousness did startle her a bit, and she was curious, but she didn't want to be even nosier than she'd been.

Mana glanced at him, and didn't look him in the eyes. "No..?" She said, but it came out as a question. She shook her head to confirm her lie, though, one could easily tell she was lying. Surprisingly, Mana was a horrible liar when confronted, so she tried to not do so.
((Sorry for the shortness ^^))
((Sorry for the shortness ^^))

(Same)
Mana frowned slouching a bit. She ignored his first question, but answered the second. "It didn't cost money." Mana said. "I made it." She added, feeling a bit guilty for lying. She walked over to the desk in front of him, and turned the chair around so she was facing him once she sat on it. She intertwined her fingers, unsure what else to do. "Sorry for lying." Mana quickly said, looking at him.

Mana nodded triumphantly. She didn't want to say that she had made it though. She noticed his tears, and a surprised look crossed her face, replacing the stoic one from before. "..No..It's for you, I don't mind at all." She said, and scooted the chair a bit closer. "If you don't mind me asking this question," She started. "Why were tears welling up in your eyes?" She asked him. She wondered why he saved half of it, and just thought that maybe he'd eat it later when he was hungrier.

"Do you promise you'll eat it at least some of it if I do so?" Mana asked. "If you will, then I will make you another." She said, trying to brush aside what he said earlier. She couldn't though, and then frowned. "What did you mean by "I don't want to share it with mother"?" She asked him, sitting up straight as well. She was glad that he asked her to make another one though.

Mana sighed a bit. "I won't tell anyone if you tell me." She said, holding out her pinkie finger. It seemed childish, but she was very serious. "I don't know what's going on in your household, but please, you can tell me." She added, not putting her pinkie down yet. She wasn't planning to, until he put his up as well.

Mana lowered her hand, and stood up with him. "I do mean it." She said, noticing he was probably going to leave. She blocked his way to leave, so he'd still talk to her. "Just, please." She added, and crossed her arms. Mana was determined to make him stay and talk to her about it. She had never felt more determined in her life, then when she was playing a hard video game.
