Also, this type of request does not belong in this thread, you wanted the books moved off your profile, not deleted/merged with other editions, that is something any librarian could have done.

Cassandra (cassanj) | 4919 comments Two pbks, this one https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... is marked as an ACE for https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3..., which has the ISBN. The only difference in the edition with the ISBN is that the cover reads "Advance Reader Copy." Can that cover be replaced with the actual cover, and then merged with the edition marked as an ACE, or is this one of those instances where the ISBN should be moved to the other edition and then designated as an ARC?

Or did you just get a message saying you were not allowed to do it.

Even if the author has specifically requested it? Essentially when you search the book title both are coming up. She only wants one entry for the book, as has been done with the rest of the books in the series.

Perhaps the request is better phrased : please merge Ebook into the kindle per author's request.

Authors have to follow Goodreads policies too. An ebook with an ISBN is a distinct edition from a Kindle edition with an ASIN, and the two should no be merged.

Just combined, which was already done.

No, different formats are never merged, but combined. The ebook has an ISBN, the Kindle edition an ASIN.

When I search for the title, the three different parts come up. I don't see two editions of the same part come up.
