alright, I've gotten behind but I have the book next to me

wow, this one is good! I didn't realize the paranormal element we'd get! I like it!

Nathan(view spoiler)[ I'm worried he's sketch. I want him to be a good guy but I don't like how he's dodging how he knows her brother (hide spoiler)]

Tyler(view spoiler)[ this breaks my heart. that they aren't sure if they know him or if they ever knew him. she sounds like she was so close to him that I hate that she is now left wondering who he was (hide spoiler)]

Lincoln(view spoiler)[ what an odd/interesting twist - this history or Lincoln and his assassination. Why would he have the book? Why would he have the box? and did it come from the senator? there is so much we don't know yet (hide spoiler)]

Megan(view spoiler)[ getting the visions sound awful - because it's so painful. And I hate that she doesn't remember what Nathan said because she blacked out (hide spoiler)]

Tyler(view spoiler)[ I'm so so sad. he sounds so bitter - like things were really getting to him but he wasn't letting anyone in his house know
I worry that the guy who's trying to get tough on crime might have done something to him
OR the guy with the funny sunglasses. either way, I worry Tyler got hurt by someone who was trying to stop him (hide spoiler)]

Nathan(view spoiler)[ Okay, I'm officially a fan of his, even though he lied. we knew he had a secret and I feel like we know his now.
I don't think he knew what Tyler was involved in - the question is why was Tyler involved in them? What pushed him to this level?to start thinking about the haves vs the have nots (hide spoiler)]

Megan(view spoiler)[ I really like her art. I hate how her parents are very stifling and won't let her change who she is. Her mom and tyler were so worried about Megan fitting in that they made her hide who she really was. I'm glad she cut her hair and is becoming more herself (hide spoiler)]

Tyler(view spoiler)[ I'm so glad she got that last memory, of him talking to Nathan about her. I was so sad for Megan as she grew to know how Tyler was changing and so sad he didn't get a chance to tell her (hide spoiler)]

Done: I read this over vacation and for some reason my iPad and Goodreads was not getting along. Very annoying. Now I"m back and ready to post.

(view spoiler)[I loved this book, but for some reason I thought it was missing something for me to rate it a full 5 stars. I've been really picky with my 5 stars this year haha. (hide spoiler)]

Tyler(view spoiler)[I'm so glad she found out the truth about his murder. I feel bad for the way it happened and that he could have had the chance to live. I'm glad he found something he was very passionate about though. (hide spoiler)]

Megan(view spoiler)[I enjoyed her as a main character and I like the romance element with Nathan. I'm glad it wasn't the main point of the book. It was hard seeing Megan and her parents go through all that. (hide spoiler)]

Eric (view spoiler)[He was a fun character and some comedy relief for a murder book. I'm happy that he and Megan reconnected. (hide spoiler)]

I know i"m really picky about my 5 star books this year too! LOL

I don't know if I just have high expectations after reading so many good ones last year or what it is! Plus, I have so many I want to read and I feel like I haven't been in the mood to read some of the ones I have from the library right now haha. It's so never ending.
