Speech therapists also work with swallowing deficits. We typically consider ice cream a liquid since it melts during the swallowing process so you're good! ;) Wow...I'm such a nerd lol

Oh my gosh, I love nerd clubs. Can I join in? LolCoffee 24/7 for me or ice water. I write Erotic Romance and live in the Pacific NW, U.S.
Although I'm addicted to bottled tea, I'm at my desk with a cup of coffee. I live in the Southern part of the US.
Greetings from South Africa! For me its coffee...litres of it, but when I want to let my hair down, tequila!
Lol Groovy. The nerd in me lives dangerously!
Carole wrote: "My kids call me a nerd. Welcome to the club. lol."My daughter reckons I am like Hermione in Harry Potter. I felt quite pleased until I thought a bit longer. Swot, nerd, etc.
Anyone that stands up to Malfoy must be OK.England
Coffee usually unintentionally cold, weak with skimmed milk and sweeteners, or decaf tea, or something no added sugar and fizzy and a cheap supermarket own brand.
Erotica/sci fi/humour/weird
Pacific Northwest in the US (currently), I prefer energy drinks (not Starbucks!) as my go-to, and I'm sci-fi, fantasy, horror, technothriller.
I'm an obsessive tea drinker, it has to be as hot as possible, with milk but no sugar ;)From England and I write fantasy.
Coffee, coffee, coffee, preferably with sugar-free dark chocolate and half-and-half.
I write science/speculative fiction.
I write science/speculative fiction.
I write 19th-century US historical fiction. In the morning it's coffee, though I refrain from grinding the beans with a rifle butt. If I need to get creative in the evening it's a dance with the green fairy.
Coffee, half-and-half, no sugar. I tend to pour a cup of coffee when I sit down to write and then get so involved in the story, the cup sits there getting cold. I keep doing this. So I guess it's more of a prop. The Oregon Coast.
Almost always water - temperature doesn't matter. If I've already wandered out for the day also probably an iced green tea with no sweetener or sugar. I write urban fantasy/paranormal and am based in Las Vegas.
Lifewater - Yumberry Pomegranate, Blackandblue Berry or Strawberry Dragonfruit flavors (whatever I happen to grab).Fantasy and erotica (erotic fantasy?)
Western NY state
I live in a pre-revolutionary town on Long Island. A lot of the homes are two to three hundred years old. My drink of choice is water.
Expat Finn living in Germany, writing contemporary steamy romance and scifi romance. Drink of choice: green tea with fresh ginger.

I'm envious, I like that kind of property, so..."
I love that too, Alex. Timeless is pretty.

I don't have to have anything to drink while writing, but if I write in the morning it's coffee. A lot of the times my coffee gets cold. If I write at night, most likely a glass of wine. I live in FL.
Edit: And I write contemporary and romantic suspense.
I live in Rotterdam, write erotica and drink COCA COLA. Sometimes Pepsi. Depends on my mood, really.
I live in the States, children's book author (published) and adult fiction (simmering), and I'm a water and tea drinker. Although sometimes I let both run out and sit there stupidly getting more and more parched because I don't want to stop typing and get up and replenish.
Totals so far: coffee and tea are neck and neck! Water and soda/pop are pretty much equal seconds. Alcoholic beverages and energy drinks are last. Seems that country and genre don't have a clear pattern yet. :)

I like that you specified Coca Cola over Pepsi lol. That is an important distinction. I prefer Coke too. :)

Black Tea. Strong and unsweatened. No milk. (while writing) Sometimes red wine, but that's not typical. I am in western US and I write erotic gay fantasy.
Coffee is both my elixir and my goddess. Without it, I can't work. Also without it, I might kill a person. I live in America.

I write children's books and am in the US. I rarely start a writing or illustrating session without a cup/glass of tea. It doesn't matter if it is hot or iced, sweet or unsweet, it just needs to be tea. :)
