Sola | 6 comments A children's book where a boy can draw a window (or door?) onto the wall (in his room) and climb through it and he will be in the place that he drew on the wall. For example, once he drew a carnival with free rides and food, but forgot to draw free water, and the water was very expensive. I believe there was a part where he brought along his friend/cousin to a place where they could wish for anything they wanted, and the girl (maybe named Anna) chose to know everything, but this made her lose her personality/kindness. Thanks in advance!!

Sola | 6 comments I read it somewhere between 2000 and 2005 at my school's library. I'm not sure what their ages are, but I have a distinct memory of the fair/carnival scene. I can't remember if it was one or both of them there, but they had a great time and rode all the rides and ate all the traditional carnival/fair food, but then they got tired and thirsty, and they had forgotten to draw in beverages. There was a man selling water/drinks, but he was charging something like $1000 for it, and they didn't have the money, which made them sad because they could have drawn in as much money as they wanted. There also might have been a time factor where they had to stay in the scenario/world for a certain amount of time before going back (which is why it was so upsetting to not have water to drink). There was also potentially a scene with strawberries, but with a similar time/drawing error problem.

Julia, is this a picture book (about 32-48 pages) or a chapter book with mostly words?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was a chapter book with mostly words. I don't remember many (if any) pictures.
