David Raz (davidraz) | 12760 comments This is a three volume release, and we seem to have the exact same in three volumes:
Volume 1: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Volume 2: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Volume 3: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

This seems to be the cover of volume 1 so I'll merge it there.

David Raz (davidraz) | 12760 comments Seems we are both doing the same thing, combining redundant editions, so I'm going to back off.

Lovisa | 25 comments It's a total of three books. It seems like the person who created this edition chose to make one page for all three books, therefore 1-3. It's also some strangeness with the author, listing two different tolstoy's.

That is obvious. However that is not the question. The question is have those been published together as a box set?

Also please advise on the correct spelling of the author's name in Swedish.

It seems to be this edition. It is translated by Hjalmar Dahl, and the page number for v1 is correct.

I'm not quite sure what you mean with box set. These are three papersbacks. According to the back of book one, you can buy all three for a special price, or the hardcover, which is only one book.
The author is listed as Leo Tolstoj, translated by Hjalmar Dahl.

Empress (the_empress) A seller set is not the same as a publisher set. Here are examples of box sets.

When separate volumes are not published and sold together, but bundled up by a seller this is not a book per goodreads standard. Which means we will need to merge the edition you posted with the full book to transfer the reivews

Lovisa | 25 comments I think I understand what you mean, but I can't answer the question. Volume one of this edition was printed 1968, and I can't even find an isbn-number on the book. So I have no idea if they were all sold together, and they are not on the publishers webpage any more.

Lovisa | 25 comments I just want to thank you for the help and information. :) I just saw the same author and title and thought they could be merged, didn't know it was so much research behind it! Being a goodreads librarian must be a lot of work.

Empress (the_empress) I understand that is fine. However I will not merge the editions.

A lot of volume separations are combined inappropriately. I am separating the three volume Swedish editions which will end up on this series page.

The book (parts 1 to 3) I will bring to the attention of the Super-librarians so that they can make a decision.

It's not a problem. I think it should be merged but with the main book (so that the ratings are correctly transferred). Unfortunately there are a lot of exceptions so sometimes making decisions is difficult.
We appreciate bringing forward any issues you find in the database as we aim to resolve those.

You should be able to find the 3 volume separations on the series page I linked in my previous comment.
If non of those editions is yours let us know what are the differences and we will add it to the system: https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...

David. I'm done. Feel free to look into this and do some more work if you feel like it. A lot of parts are incorrectly combined and I didn't d an extensive work on this.
