ABANDONED. Historical possible romance: Girl is transported to a magical tower by a key(?) and meets man in fantasy world

Hi there! This is a book that I borrowed around 2003-2004. It had the stylings of a historical sci-fi romance - maybe in England? From what I can remember, I think there is a picture of a girl in a white dress on the cover.

At the beginning of the book, the girl is engaged and one night she is transported to a magical tower. When she wakes up, she sees her fiance searching for her in a magical mirror and finds out that even though to her it's been one night, it has really been much longer in the real world. She explores this magical world and her keeper/kidnapper is a man that she has yet to see. I believe somewhere in the book she also stumbles upon his childhood home. I think they eventually fall in love but I'm not entirely sure.
