Wren Figueiro | 215 comments Kindle automatically updated my software a couple of days ago, and I'm not sure I like it. It makes me go to "more" to highlight and when I turn it off it doesn't turn off, it gives me options. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I don't want to press more than one button to do things ;) If yours has been updated, what do you think of the new software?

I don't own a Kindle although I used to have Kindle for PC. When I had my old computer it needed to update but I had a bad internet connection but was surprisingly able to go on and update it. When I got my new computer it automatically came with an Amazon Kindle app which was great because all I had to do was log in to my account and my books appeared. I have noticed the more options part, it recommends books based on ones you've already read which is good but at times annoying since they must see the books ive already downloaded on my Kindle that I am yet to read.

I can't tell if my kindle paperwhite software is current but when I select text it pops up with the highlight option. More is also an option but I don't have to select more to have it highlight. Maybe it varies by model.

Wren Figueiro | 215 comments Mine used to do that MD, but now it only shows the definition of a word when I press on it, and I have to press more just to get to the highlight option.
