Empress (the_empress) Hi, this is a foreign award. I don't usually deal with awards so I was wondering if someone can have a look.

The name of the awards translates as National Fantasy Awards. In the list are added books from 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Should 2nd and 3rd place be Nomenees not winners? [Awards should have a clear winner; ranked lists are generally not considered awards.]

For whoever is looking if you use search in your browser and highlight all for the following phrases:
първо място - 1st place
второ място - 2nd place
трето място - 3rd place.

(And I promptly can't think of any examples off the top of my head!)

There are plenty of examples. I tried to get Rivka to agree that Silver and Bronze weren't winners, but that they were 2nd and 3rd place finishers. But no go. So when the award designates 2nd and 3rd place I now put them in as winners. In all other cases, they're nominees.

Ah, I see. So we are keeping them as they are? With the wording - 1st place and 2nd place and etc...

Yes, that should be included in the category field. Members can make up their own minds about whether those are actual winners or whether they are also rans.
