I just finished The City & The City and A Wolf at the Door and Other Retold Fairy Tales. I'm waiting for Young Miles. Currently, I'm reading The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror 2008 21st Annual Collection
I've been reading On Basilisk Station by David Weber. It's part of the Honor Harrington series that seems to be pretty highly regarded. It's been at or near the top of this list for a while.http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/11...
I'm having trouble getting into it though. Has anyone here read the series? Does it get significantly better after the first handful of chapters in On Basilisk Station? Right now, I'm on Chapter 12 and haven't been pulled in yet. It's been really dry and not very exciting so far.

It's great series, although I got a bit tired of it after book 8 or so. Still, it kept getting better up until then.
