So. How many sales would I need to make it to the HOT RELEASES section?

Hiya, Miss Alexis!! ^_^
Yes'm, I always end up on the hot new releases cuz it's waaay easier to get on there compared to regular lists that include every single book ever published haha! The book I released on Friday is in this particular category:
Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Literary Fiction > Sagas
It's currently ranked #123 Paid in Kindle Store but #13 in Hot New Releases, and in:
Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Literary Fiction > Romance
It's currently ranked #176 Paid but #20 in HNRs.
I can't pinpoint exactly how many sales since it's on KU so DLs count too, eh? But it's ranked #14,996 Paid in Kindle Store overall, which equates to roughly ~14 sales/day.
And actually, the good news is the answer is easily guesstimateable (totes not a word haha) to a pretty accurate degree.
Hmm, if you take THIS CATEGORY as an example, #100 is only ranked #331,169 Paid in Kindle Store overall so if your book was in that category and ranked sub-300K, chances are you'd be on the list. Not necessarily cuz of how the algorithm works but very, veeery likely.
Hope that helped and wasn't too much info. Don't mean to be obnoxious or nothing LOL
Hugs,
Ann
P.S. This rank converter is super duper accurate, from my experience: https://kindlepreneur.com/amazon-kdp-...

LOL
Yeah, that's why I don't share my number crunching much anymore cuz...err...ain't nobody wanna be bored to death with that crap haha!
Short answer: Pick a Best Sellers list, check #100's rank, and beat it. Better? XP

Nah, Miss Abby. I'm just painfully long-winded LMAO! (laughing but not kidding) Seriously, the short answer up there is pretty much the exact same thing I rambled on and on about hahaha...
Yeahhh ^_^

Yeahhh ^_^"
I prefer the data dump. Don't change.
If you've ever managed to land on the Hot New Releases section of Amazon, how many sales did it approximately take you?
