Wow, I have a lot of favorite re-reads for me in BOM this month. This book is great. If the next one is as good, which I am expecting as... it is Ilona Andrews, it will be a favorite series just like Kate Daniels. I just re-read Magic Bleeds and definitely like it better on re-read.
I'll re-read this, this week and join in.

Thanks for that. Makes what he did make more sense but... he was working on so many assumptions. I want to know what he thought when he discovered they were all wrong.
I finished my re-read today and I don't know if I like it better than the first Kate book because I already know the writers and such, but I think it is more that this book has a better pacing to the world building. I love these characters and hope they can keep it going. I also finished my buddy read of Magic Bleeds and definitely enjoyed this one better. You really just don't know about Mad Rogan. You want to like him... kind of, but you see what Nevada keeps pointing out on the sociopath scale. Still he does the right thing. I cannot believe I forgot that epilogue.

It sounds really interesting doesn't it? I'm a big fan of Ilona Andrews previous series' and I'm excited to start this one.
Have you read this before? If so, what did you think? Would you re-read this book? Why or why not?
What is your opinion on the book, the series, or the author?
Participating in the BOM is easy. You just read the book that was voted for. And post up your review... Or if you don't do reviews you can just join in by chatting about the book.
Here's the Book Synopsis:
Nevada Baylor is faced with the most challenging case of her detective career—a suicide mission to bring in a suspect in a volatile case. Nevada isn’t sure she has the chops. Her quarry is a Prime, the highest rank of magic user, who can set anyone and anything on fire.
Then she’s kidnapped by Connor “Mad” Rogan—a darkly tempting billionaire with equally devastating powers. Torn between wanting to run or surrender to their overwhelming attraction, Nevada must join forces with Rogan to stay alive.
Rogan’s after the same target, so he needs Nevada. But she’s getting under his skin, making him care about someone other than himself for a change. And, as Rogan has learned, love can be as perilous as death, especially in the magic world.
