jun-seo lee × ( dancer ; 1 - 20 )
( performance )Taemin's Press Your Number( comments )Not an exceptional or remarkable voice, but stable, especially given the choreography. After he was asked if dance was his specialty (it is), the judges requested that he freestyle dance to a random song on the spot. He did, the given song being Zayn's Pillowtalk, to an extremely positive response from the judges.
▻ He was asked about his history with Boys' Generation, and he stated that he was glad to see their success, and that he came to Produce 101 to start over again.
nicholas yoo × ( vocalist ; 1 - 20 )
( performance )Adele's Turning Tables (in terms of how it was sung, think closer to Gwenyth Paltrow's Glee version, except, you know, sung by a dude), with a dance which had been choreographed by one of his dancer friends (in aforementioned friend's words: you're gonna give them a fucking aneurysm. Nicholas isn't quite sure that's the exact response he wants, but hey, he's not going to complain when he has friends kind enough to not let him embarrass himself by attempting freestyle dance).( comments )There was a favorable response to his visuals as soon as he walked in. He had been in music videos, even ones that involved some dancing, but never been a trainee? (Correct.) And then afterwards, had he choreographed the dance himself? (Most of it was choreographed by a friend for this occasion, though some parts were my own.) I didn't realize mic stands could be so sensual. (Me neither, cue eye smile and dimples.)
kristina kwon × ( dancer ; 21 - 40 )
( performance )Fifth Harmony's Write on Me, with her own choreography.( comments )Stable voice while dancing, but the vocals were only decent to start with. Relied too heavily on dance over vocals to receive a higher rank.
si-yeon jang × ( vocalist ; 21 - 40 )
( performance )Tori Kelly's Should've Been Us.( comments )Impressive vocals. Dance wasn't horrible, but left something to be desired.

kind of made it up on the spot.
[ THE JUDGES liked her performance very much, and commented on how it showcased all of her talents. they also liked the way that she presented herself, and her dance style was commented on as well. they weren't entirely certain because of the rapping, and were slightly split between 1-20 and 21-40.[ PERFORMED a.b. original's firing squad, then improvised the dance part.[ • JACKSON PHILLIPS ; 81-101 • ]

[ THE JUDGES knew that his rapping was good, and liked his dancing, but his attitude, lack of vocal talent and general awkwardness canceled out the positives. the controversial subject matter of the song didn't help — although hansi seemed impressed.[ PERFORMED never ending circles by chvrches, with choreography inspired by about fifty different videos she watched the night before.[ • STELLA JEON JIYEON ; 1-20 • ]

[ THE JUDGES were very impressed with how she fit the dance with the words, but thought it was slightly messy, and when asked to rap on the spot she did pretty well, considering she was freestyling.[ PERFORMED the chainsmokers' paris[ • ZHOU YIZHE ; 1-20 • ]

[ THE JUDGES were impressed. his dancing was mostly made up of a few simple not-really-dance-moves, but the vocal was enough to make them overlook that — that, and his improv rap.[ PERFORMED losing your mind by raury & jaden smith[ • ANGELA TSAI ; 21-40 • ]

[ THE JUDGES weren't especially impressed with her singing, but her rap was really good, her dance was fairly impressive visually (less so technically) and she was funny, and overall that was enough to get her a rank from 21-40.[ PERFORMED birdhouse in your soul by they might be giants. ( not a dance-friendly song )[ • NAM WOOJIN ; 41-60 • ]

[ THE JUDGES were unimpressed, and the vocals and dance did not mesh well at all, but they had to acknowledge that individually his dancing and singing were fairly good. meanwhile his lack of charisma and nonexistent rapping skills knocked him down a fair bit, and he was ranked at 41-60.[ PERFORMED donna summer's i feel love with interesting choreography[ • VALENTINA AZEVEDO ; 41-60 • ]

[ THE JUDGES thought she was a basic rich girl who was trying to buy her way into the competition. which is totally accurate, but her singing was good enough to get her a tolerable ranking.

Character Name: Luca Shaw
Current Ranking: 21-40
Performance: Mark Rhonson's uptown funk, with a self-choreographed dance. The focus was clearly on the dance, with plenty of tricks and acrobatics, showing off his athleticism to the judges, however his singing voice was good as well. He clearly had fun with his performance, utterly charming the judges out his winning smiles and grins.
Judges' Comments: Were disappointed with his lack of rapping ability but were deeply impressed with is dancing skills. Agreed that his vocals required work but he could easily sing backup, and with training could improve. Overall were charmed by his performance and loved his personality. They did not put him in the top twenty due to his utter lack of rapping ability.
Other Necessary Information: Idk let me know if there's anything else you need shad and juno I've gotta get these done quick

Character Name: Gwen Lewis
Current Ranking: 41-60
Performance: Sang Halsey's Drive, flawlessly. Did some vague dance, though mostly stood on the spot and sang into the mic.
Judges' Comments: Asked her to rap something, and weren't overly surprised when she said she couldn't. They loved her singing voice and rated her decently because of it, but couldn't rate her any higher due to her mediocre dancing ability and utter lack of rap talent.
Other Necessary Information: Idk let me know if there's anything else you need shad and juno I've gotta get these done quick

Character Name: Madeleine Stolarz
Current Ranking: 1-20
Performance: Sang Satisfied from Hamilton, altered to make it a solo version (so somewhat like the Hamilton mixtape version I meant to listen to it before making this but the deadline's right away and i'm writing this in a car with no wifi so). It started with her just singing the toast part, obviously. Just her, in front of the mic. The judges weren't overly impressed, but noted that she had a good sining voice. When the 'rewind' part kicked in, though, she started dancing as well as singing, and they became much more impressed. And then she started rapping, and she was obviously top twenty material. After all, listening to the cast recording over and over and over again does give you the ability to sing and rap it perfectly.
Judges' Comments: Were impressed with her singing voice from the start, and liked that she was able to dance. Once she started rapping, there were cheers from the judging table. They noted that her dancing ability might not be the strongest, but with some training she could be excellent, and her musicality was wonderful.
Other Necessary Information: Idk let me know if there's anything else you need shad and juno I've gotta get these done quick

Claire Park ─ 21 - 40
performance: She performed a section of Are You That Somebody by Aaliyah (her idol) then switched the music to sing part of Back in One Piece with an addition of very simple performance moves she reused from a choreo workshop.
judges' comments: were slightly surprised she could hold the notes and shift from alto to soprano and applauded her singing and performance. They asked her do a freestyle dance, but she quickly declined and apologized for her lack of skill.

( ♛ ) dean woo ×× dancer + singer × 1━20
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
( performance ) chris brown's take you down
( comments ) the judges were incredibly impressed at the stability of dean's voice given the intensity and difficulty of the choreography. they asked him if he had choreographed it himself (he had), and if he was trying to make the show rating go up to 17+ viewers only (he wasn't).
they then asked him to freestyle dance ("make him do something cute") and were very impressed at how he incorporated a popping routine to fit with taylor swift's shake it off although they noted that he seemed rather "pained" to try and maintain a "bubbly" expression on his face.

( ♛ ) jackjack ×× rapper + dancer × 21 ━40
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
( performance ) exid's up&down (he was going for a jeon jungkook-esque "power sexy" feel)
( comments ) the judges (as well as the other contestants) really got a kick out of his song choice and martina campbell in particular was very clear in expressing her enjoyment in "that little booty action you had going there". they told him he had real talent in engaging and charming the audience as well. however, they noted that his performance rode more on charm and charisma than precision and that his rap lacked any distinct individual personality.
oh hee-chul × ( vocalist ; 81-101 )
( performance )Leo's (vocals) parts of VIXX LR's Beautiful Liar. Despite the fact that his voice is kind of obnoxious,( comments )
his technique made it almost tolerable... until he botched the four-octave high note at the climax of the song.Looking at him, they honestly thought this was a joke audition. Told him to take it seriously, to which he replied that he is taking it seriously, he likes his hair, and he really can sing the notes, give him another chance, please.
(He did attempt the high notes again. It was even worse.)
In addition to the cringeworthy vocals, he also showed zero dancing ability except for a couple hip-thrusts that could be considered by some to be downright obscene, and was given his rank.

performance: Ambrosia sang Let Him Go, a cover by Birdy with little to no dance moves, unless you consider taking the microphone from the stand and walking from one place to another dancing.![]()
ambrosia yung-song
61-80
comments: The judges were extremely impressed and emotional by the end of the song from Ambrosia's use of emotion, especially at the harmony towards the end. After collecting themselves they asked if she had anything else to show for herself which caused her to choke up and explain the need for her to work on it. The judges decided to rank her low for her lack of skills.
