Finished The Republic of Thieves and, while I wait for The Thorn of Emberlain, and despite all of the Hugo reading I should be doing, I decided to revisit Stephen King's It for the first time in -- well, for poetic, It-related purposes let's say this is the first time in 28 years. That's at least approximately accurate.

I finished The Waking Fire. Great read. Now I have to wait for book 2 to be released in July.

Now I'm finally going to tackle Memories of Ice.

I loved Malazan.

Mistborn I think its finished, at least the first three books make the hell of a nice series.

I think that sometimes people get confused because the Alloy Series started with Mistborn 4, even though it really is the start of a new series (Alloy Era 1). Mistborn 3 did finish that series.

I read the first three and enjoyed them although I don't remember much about it. I also read the fourth which was a stand alone then. I didn't like it as much. He's also finished the Calamity set which I liked. I suppose mixing it up keeps him busy and interested. He's a member, we should ask.

I thought the start of The Alloy of Law was one of the most riveting starts to a fantasy book I had ever read. To me it kind of set the tone for the book. IMO.

Finished Her Fearful Symmetry. Here's my review. Didn't really care for it.

I'm on the final (for the moment) Nate Temple, Beast Master. I wasn't too sure about the first in the series, the main character was somewhat of an entitled ass, but I kept going, and I'm loving them more with every book. Nate improves drastically from book 2 onwards. Some similarities to Harry Dresden, but much more action/thriller oriented, rather than mystery/investigation.

I have no clue what to follow them with though....

I just started reading Brandon Sanderson's Arcanum Unbounded. It has been a while since I've read Elantris and the Mistborn series so I had to do a lot of memory searching while reading some of these stories, but the Cosmere is utterly fascinating and its been a fun read.

I finished Nevernight, my first read of Jay Kristoff. Loved it, can't wait for Godsgrave.

Listened to Age of Myth so I'm nearly up to date on Sullivan, just two volumes in Riyria Chronicles to go. It's probably a little slower than the Revelations series so far IMO, so maybe not the best place to start for people new to Sullivan. That said, no prior knowledge of his world is needed. Interesting events he has chosen, has plenty in it for the Sullivan veteran.

Now onto Hope and Red, which I'm really liking so far and flying through relative to my normal slow pace. The are some early parallels between Hope and the character Mia from Nevernight. Should be fun.

I agree, one should start with Revelations. The best bantering back and forth between Royce and Hadrian are in these books. To me they're hilarious. This is where the best character development of the two is also.

Yes, I love Royce and Hadrian.

I read Nevernight and Hope and Red at the same time. There are similarities although Hope and Red had some truly bad language.
