Hahaha, fair enough! I hope you are enjoying your re-read :D

Thanks Abigail! I only have a few Heyer romances left to read for the first time, so I'm trying to space them out a bit ;) I will try to share my thoughts regularly! I'm not very far in yet, but so far I already greatly like Sylvester (arrogant in a rather unusual style, pretty starchy and has a list of qualities for his future wife? Oh yes, I am definitely entertained!) and his Mama is an absolute treasure.

I agree, Anne. Sylvester is a bit starchy, but he's also clear-sighted, or, at least, he is about other people. He's intelligent, and given half a chance might even develop a really wicked sense of humor!

Critter bee, hope you had a lovely vacation and enjoy Sylvester more this time around.

I echo Abigail's sentiment.

This book is the first I read by GH and I loved it so much I was giddy as I read it. I can't read it for the first time again.
Ple..."
Thanks Andrea!! I hope to be able to read more today! And as well as posting on here I'll try to regularly update my status. :) The first Heyer is so important and I'm so glad you love this one!!
@Carol and Susan - Thank you!! :)
@Karlyne - I can definitely see his potential! Can't wait until he meets the heroine!
