Automatic Preorder Question

Two questions, I looked around but couldn't find the answer.

1) How long does it take a book thats on pre-order with amazon to show up by the automatic add system?

2) If one were to add it manually, would there be any difference? (for example, would more information be added automatically?)

The auto imports just work their way through adding books, there is no way to tell.

There is no difference if you add the edition manually, you can put all the data in or just some of the data. the main thing to add it is the ASIN if adding manually, otherwise the import when it finally gets round to adding the book will add another edition (although it is easy enough for a librarian to merge it)
