Are all five the same author. I noticed in particular there were a bunch of commentaries on Exodus - most of them in fact had an exodus commentary attributed to them, that could be combined.

Hi. I accidentally created two identical editions of this same book (https://www.goodreads.com/work/editio...) but one with cover and one without. Can anyone help me merge it?I can assure that both editions are similar because I was the one adding them both, typing the details from the physical book I got from my lecturer.

Looked it up - that first link corresponds to this book, which has a named author, in addition to the organization name thats currently listed as author.

The second book looks fine, but the third one appears to be JUST the book of Leviticus separated from the rest of scripture. Which seems strange. If so, then aren't books of scripture listed by anonymous rather than by their earthly author? If you click the author Moses, you'll see this being done for many different translations of the first five books of the old testament. The few I looked at didn't have ISBN, they kind look like someone took the individual books in their bible, and split them out as unique works apart from the whole they ought to be listed as. Not sure what if anything should be done on those.
Fourth book likewise has a unique ISBN. Good call not combining.
Once again, has anyone noticed all the books with "project gutenberg" in the title? Is that how it should be or should they be amended? At this point its a couple hundred books. But there are nearly 100k in the project as a whole. Seems like a good thing to get a handle on now rather than once all 100k books are entered improperly. Amending the add a book title suggester thingy to omit project gutenberg, and the variations of text they include in titles (The Project Guttenberg edition of the "book title here" (no quotes) is the most common way I've seen it, but there are a few others) is probably the best preventer... Any way. Just was curious if they are supposed to be that way. Any I've entered from the project I've omitted reference to Project Gutenberg in the title. Maybe I'm doing that wrong?
