Ignacio is a rookie who is still getting his bearings. It would be really short sighted of him to ask for a new partner rather than learning from Harry's years of experience. If he does request a new partner, it will indicate that he is more of an Edgar than a Harry.
Exactly. I thought it was shortsighted of him to even think of asking for a new partner. It would hurt him more than Harry.
It should have given him pause that his partner won't call him Iggy. He's not paying attention and I'm not so sure about his instincts.

I really don't blame Ignacio for questioning whether he should request a new partner. Harry sometimes is a bit of a loose cannon and does stuff that could get him fired. Ignacio sees this and probably wants to keep his job. Yes, he could learn from Bosch's vast experience, but he could suddenly be out of a job.
