When Harry arrives on the scene of his first case in the Homicide Special squad, he finds Jerry Edgar in charge. What did you think of their interaction? How do you think Harry feels about him now?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments While they were good partners, Harry and Edgar were never exactly best buds. Their interactions reflect that status - Edgar respects Harry and Harry tolerates Edgar.

I also think Harry gets exasperated at Edgar's laziness. He does just enough but never goes the extra mile. It was interesting when Harry evaluated all the things Edgar didn't do at the scene, all explainable but just not the best thing to do. You could hear the apology in Edgar's voice when he realized it was going to be Harry's case.

Yes. The impression I got was that once Edgar found out the case was being kicked to Robbery Homicide, he wasn't interested in doing any of the work. When he found out it was Harry's case, he was very apologetic.

Exactly.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments It seems like Edgar does just enough to get by. He doesn't put anything extra into his work and Bosch is used to it. He knows him well.
