I went and bought a copy at Barnes & Noble they had only one copy left ... I hope that's a good sign:) I was looking for an excuse to push this up and now I have it

Went to the library this morning. They are ordering it for me. Excited to start "Himself" I just finished "Paddy's Lament".
Finished this one earlier today. I thoroughly enjoyed it once I got used to how short some of the chapters were. The characters were well fleshed out and I enjoyed as well the supernatural aspect. Highly recommended.
Thought I might post my updates on the book as I read here - as I nominated it. Be warned I am reading this very slowly. Besides Donna has anyone else finished it yet? I can see Amalia has started from her feed :)
Maria ní Chnoic is on page 108 of 368 of Himself:"Mrs Cauley grits her remaining teeth. ' Logical thought, the process of elimination. Even Marple would be at a loss in this town. Jesus, they couldn't tell the thing straight if their lives hung on it"
It seems popular alright. That's why it's a quarterly read. It give's people extra time to get their hands on a copy.
I really enjoyed this! It's a dark comedic Agatha Christie with a supernatural twist.Looking forward to the spoiler thread being open.
Just as soon as I finish "The House Without Windows" by Nadia Hashimi, I plan to begin "Himself" I purchased it on amazon.com.
That's great Andy. Love the Jaysus. Emma as its the middle of the month so it would be great to have the spoiler thread open now. Also folks, I have been in contact with Jess Kidd (the author) and she says she would love to answer some of our questions in early June. So let's have a think about them on the spoiler thread. Emma has suggested we might want to open up a separate thread for questions later on.
I so love Mrs Cauley too but I thought all of the Charectors are larger than life and far more colourful.
I am enjoying the story and like Maria I love Mrs. Cauley, she is a very colourful lady looking forward to see what happend to them all
This is now available in Mass Paperback if anyone still wants to read it and price/availability was an issue. Also don't forget to post any questions you have for Jess Kidd - I will double check she is still happy to answer questions but she did say she loved em and I said we would try for early June.
