Colleen | 1205 comments I like him and disliked him at the same time . I don't understand his obsession with Denna . He had so many girls paying him attention Fela for one why is he stuck on Denna ? Can you tell I don't like Denna and I don't trust her at all . I thought Bast and the ending was intriguing.

Margo The young usually lust after what is unavailable! It's a while since I read it so I don't really remember the ending just the characters. I'm going to have to make a rule to only start series which have an end ;-p

Paul I was wondering if I can read The Slow Regard of Silent Things after reading The Name of the Wind but before reading the second before ? How much is Auri in the second book and would I miss a lot ?

message 104: by Paul (new)

Paul Shouldn't be a problem. Theres no spoilers in it for the second book anyway

Colleen | 1205 comments Thanks Paul I think I'll read it that way .I'm really curious about Auri.

Paul Its an odd little book, it feels very different to the novels as it revolves around a very unusual mind.
Some fans hated it but I liked it.
There's another novella out there , part of the Rogues anthology that focuses and Kvothes assistant in the bar.

Colleen | 1205 comments Ok I'll keep that in mind . I will admit Auri fascinates me .

Paul Shes a great character, a lot more interesting than certain other female characters in the book who are frankly brainless and annoying

Brian O'Sullivan | 280 comments I've never come across this series before and from the comments I'm intrigued now. I guess this is next on the TBR list.
