Nineteen Minutes
question
Something that bothered me .....

No one else has mentioned this so, maybe it is just me. I was really bothered by Alex being pregnant. The book didn't get into this but what would that have done to Josie? Wouldn't she feel that she was being replaced while having to spend five years in prison? Just me?

The author mentioned that she didn't feel she was replacing one child with another. For the first time the mother was having a semblance of "a" life -- "her" life! And Josie while entitled to her feelings would have seen that her mother never her side and it's apparent she never will
Yes Alex thought it was fine. But, what about Josie's point of view?
Did you also think it was strange that Josie's secret teenage pregnancy was never mentioned again??
