Oh no. I got you covered! My dad went a little nuts when he built this house. Instead of actually finishing it, he just kept adding on.

Have you seen The Big Chill? It's more like that. Less funerals though.

And probably a need to have a budget built for bail money!!!

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments Nah. We'll close the gates. You can't get in too much trouble.

Jan--what part of Australia do you live in??

message 1206: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments I have a bunch of Marriott points. If there's a Marriott property nearby, I can crash there.

message 1207: by Robin (new)

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments I live in in the boonies. But there's plenty of room, trust me. I can almost guarantee you'll have your own room. Everyone did last year.

message 1208: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Um Robin, do you live in a mansion or like the Bates motel or something?

message 1209: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments I'm just gonna show up, not show anyone my picture beforehand and see if you can guess who I am? Crap, I bet my stupid Massachusetts accent will give me away. (Plus the pigtails & cheerleader outfit)

message 1210: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Well, if ya'll are going dressed in costume (or in Fabi's instance, just nekkid), then I am totally going to get my werebadger outfit from the dry-cleaners and come in costume too!!!

message 1211: by Robin (new)

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments Leslie wrote: "Um Robin, do you live in a mansion or like the Bates motel or something?"

Oh god no. It just has lots of rooms. Like 6.5 full bedrooms, a small office with a full couch in it, and 4 full bathrooms. And it has this wide hallway type thing we call the library that I put 4 full oversized cots in as needed. At Halloween I could sleep at least 30 in beds/couches/cots.

I'm afraid the short skirt will give you away! Speaking of costumes, I just found out I need a flapper dress for RT! Go big or go home, right?

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications | 872 comments oh, I love flapper dresses. You're gonna look hot in one of them!

bahahahah! I'll take hot, but I'm really going for "not a complete buffoon." Someone on IG told me last night there's also a rockabilly party, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. I have the pathetic dregs of my reputation to protect.

message 1215: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Oh! That's not big at all Robin! Thank goodness for the cots!

message 1216: by Robin (new)

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments It's ridiculous. Especially since only 2 of us live here. He never finished anything, just kept building. So when we moved in we had a very big partially finished house. We lived in it for years with concrete floors and sheetrock with the outside wrapped in black tar paper. It was paid off and we had to take out a huge mortgage on it to finish it.

message 1217: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellesantiago) | 299 comments Out in the boonies, by a lake in the middle of Texas! Ya'll know where to come look for us if we come up missing! I read Mud Vein. I know how to get out!! LOL. Frak! Gotta diet now.

message 1218: by Robin (new)

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments It's boonies for city folk. We just got a Sonic and you have to know somebody to get service. We have a Dairy Queen and a McDonald's on the other side of the lake, but that's a good 30 minute drive unless you have a boat.

message 1219: by Grey (new)

Grey | 2385 comments Mod
LMFAO.... Michelle, I seriously just cackled, *high five for the Mud Vein reference*

message 1220: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Wow--I read Mud Vein and I obviously have book amnesia about that one!

Jan (jan130) Renee wrote: "Jan--what part of Australia do you live in??"

South eastern Australia. I live in a regional (country) area in northern Victoria. Scenery is pretty flat, but the climate is nice (except in mid summer when it's pretty hot.)

Do you know what Starbucks is? Or Taco Bell? Lmao! I was born and lived in the country until I was 8, we didn't even have a gas station and. The nearest McDonalds is still probably 45 minutes away...but that's Poland for ya!

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments I'm going to start another thread for the retreat if I can figure it out so I don't annoy the hell out of everyone. But I have menu/itinerary done :D Last year we did theme night's for everyone's books. This year I'm hijacking the whole thing and turning it into one big ass release party. Ok so I can see how this is much more exciting for me...
