Sure why not?

message 160: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Jan--if you're around and see this, I saw where you 'liked' that I marked Beautiful Player to read.

Well, the reason I marked it is because I'm using that as my book for this challenge from your favorites! I started that series and loved the first two books and then just never continued, so thanks for having it in your faves and making me read it finally!

Whoa, whoa, whoa... Back the bus up! I dont know how many times I need to say I claim Will Sumner, but it's about to get ghetto real up in here!

message 162: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments Reading my first off this list - one of Tasha's and I am really enjoying it!

message 163: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) I still have to finish my list for this one--I think I've only picked 3 so far. Going to get it finished this afternoon when I get back from rehab.

Is there a timeline for this one or is it just do it on your own throughout the rest of the year once you get your list finalized?

message 164: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments The 5 star challenge I think is just at your leisure, probably to complete by the end of the year.

The Pick For Me challenge is once a month someone assigned to you will pick from your list and you are to read that book that month.

message 165: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Nay, this challenge was something I set up for fun for myself to complete in 2017. I love that so many others wanted to join the fun too! The only "rule" I had was no one getting mad at me if I didnt like their fave. ;)

Fabi's challenge is going to be one book per month (I believe). I think she said she'd switch it to quarterly if everyone thought it got to be too much.

message 166: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments Yeah, who's doing the assigning???

message 167: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Yay Paula!!

I have yet to start because I'm wrapped up in Infidelity series with Ela and we also got The Opposite of You BR starting tomorrow. Soooooooo....its gonna be awhile before I even start on my own challenge. :(

message 168: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Jean wrote: "Yeah, who's doing the assigning???"

Nay (4ukcats) Yeah, I figured this one was leeeeeisurely, but I just wanted to copy however you're doing it, Leslie. So you're just trying to read all of them by the end of the year to get more books off your tbr, right?

Oh and I was getting ready to say 'how the heck are y'all picking Amy's books since she's rated a whopping THREE?!' lol But I see that I need to look at her list on the blog. Or I could pick a Marmy book.

message 177: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Tasha--I've been working on it for days! But this one is just a casual challenge that Leslie made for herself and we all decided to jump on the bandwagon. NO PRESSURE in when you read or how much--it's totally up to you!

message 178: by [deleted user] (new)

Tasha I doubt I will get them done, but I made a list. I only used books I own and am thinking of it as my summer reading list.

Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments Grey wrote: "Omg Nay, I FLOVE your list!!"

It is a pretty impressive compilation!!

message 182: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments I do too! OMG, you have to read The Warlord Wants Forever. Hot Ticket was good, and that is something that normally makes me go eep, but it works without making me think Jace is weak. VERY rare. Then you have to read Wicked Beat. I swear, it is one of the sweetest stories ever. They are so broken, but it's not sad. It's funny and gentle, with some angst. *swoon*

message 183: by Nay (new)

Nay (4ukcats) Thanks! I tried to go with a bunch of oldies that I've put off for yearrrrs! Somehow, I didn't even realize that Warlord Wants Forever was in existence, and I had put the Sinners on Tour books on hold when O.C. had the 'order of release' fiasco. I had actually started reading what was supposed to be book 3 (Wicked Beat, I think?) and I stopped to wait for the 'new' book #3 but never went back to it. I want to get that entire series finally read and then read the One Night with Sole Regret and Exodus End series as well.

And I have been putting off Mercury's War for years as well. I love the Breeds series and really want to get caught up on it, and when I started my list, I was hoping that someone would have MW as a 5-star read, and there is was on Michelle's shelf!

Actually, he'd probably love it...dirty little player that he is! Le sigh! I wanna do a reread when you read this one! Just for old times sake. I love this book hard!

Leslie | 2430 comments Great list Nay...I love love the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series. I don't really ever push it because A. I'll be heartbroken if people don't love it (I've barely gotten over Robin not loving Thoughtless. Kidding Robin, luffs ya!) I'm not kidding, I'm still a little mad at her. and B. there are a lot of books in series and its a big commitment.

It will be exciting to see how many new favorites we all have after this!

Leslie--I loved the first book and kinda started the 2nd one, I think, but stopped reading because some big book release happened, but that's been so long ago that I'll start from the beginning. I think I'll love the series too!

Jan! Where's your list?!!

I remembered just after I asked. I'm down with that! While Cory has the teeniest tiniest edge over Beckett on my book boyfriend spreadsheet, TBP was a 6 star for me.

Yes!!!! I'm so excited! I just finished Lisa's 5 star Whispers and the Roars and I really liked it, but I couldn't get past the grammar errors! I counted 5, and that was trying NOT to spot them :(

message 197: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Ugh. I hate errors. Just seems like lazy proofreading.

message 198: by Robin (new)

Robin Hill (robinhill) | 1528 comments I don't think I've ever read a book with grammar errors. Typos, yes, but not grammar. It's mostly "I vs. me" like Yeo and I when it should be Yeo and me. Drove me nuts, especially because I use books as teaching aids for myself and it doesn't work when it's incorrect!

message 199: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Jan, besides what you picked for me you've got 3 MORE of my faves!!

Slammed (Slammed, #1) by Colleen Hoover
It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
Driven (Driven, #1) by K. Bromberg

*jumps up and down with glee*

OMG, Robin, I see grammar errors ALL the time. Just saw the 'so-and-so and I' in First Debt. That drives me crazy! But I'm always seeing the damn dangling gerunds that we both lurve so much. I think I must read many more self-published books that you do where a friend or a beta reader does most of the editing/proofreading! lol
