March Book Report 2017

Period 4
My book report is based on the book “The Face on the Milk Carton”. The story revolves around Janie Johnson (later finds out her real name is Jennie Springs) who lives a normal high school life in Romney Road, Connecticut, with her rather old parents , her friends and her boyfriend Reeve along with his family.
She was living her life like any other girl until one day she notices a picture on the side of a milk carton. A picture labelled “have you seen me?” of her as a young child of 12 years ago. Once she saw that image, she starts having series of flashbacks when seeing things related to her past. From something as insignificant as ice cream to finding the actual dress that appears in the image.
These events keep happening until she can’t keep control her own feelings and confronts her parents if she was kidnapped since the idea was driving her crazy. Her parents tell her that in fact they aren’t her actual parents, but her grandparents (Jennie still consider them her real parents) and that her real mother, Hannah, is part of a cult and left her in their care. Saying that her life could have been a dull and boring.
Jennie’s life was completely turned upside down when finding that image. She receives unconditional support from her parents, Reeve and his family. Jennie’s parents tell her everything about her past and her mother’s past, Reeve takes her to places to get her mind away from the idea of being kidnapped and Reeve’s family (his oldest sister to be exact) to actually find her real parents.
Throughout the entire story Jennie is stuck between fantasy and reality, but constantly making the to fight in a psychological way. The author makes clear distinctions between Jennie’s daymares and daydreams, making her daydreams the only things she controls like a life with her future children, and daymares such as her visions of being kidnapped.
I didn’t like the book as much as previous books I’ve read. I really liked the suspense the book gave but the story itself seems pretty bland in my opinion. Jennies relationship with Reeve is based on their friendship and is a nice change compared to other stories. The way Reeve supports Jennie through her mental breakdowns is admirable. I would recommend this book to those with enough maturity since the book contains some near-sex scenes. I really wouldn’t recommend this book to any family members though.

This book was written to show what can happen when you do exotic drugs. The author was trying to inform that drugs are addicting even if you think it's not. Also they are reflecting what bad actions lead to. The book was written for related teens that are antisocial because the writers a young teen, just trying to fit in. The author wanted the reader to know that taking drugs will lead you in the wrong path without you even knowing it is. I believe the writer wants me to choose wisely about my actions, the overall message of this book is DON'T do drugs! drugs won't do you any thing good, focus on school. This is a common problem young teens face because I knew some 15-year-old with a drug addiction. I would recommend this book to someone going to a drug problem so they can see how bad their life can end. A person that is curious about LSD may enjoy this book also.

Now onto the plot of this book. Harry is spending a miserable summer with his only remaining family, the Dursleys. During a dinner party hosted by his uncle and aunt, Harry is visited by Dobby, a house-elf. Dobby warns Harry not to return to Hogwarts, the magical school for wizards that Harry attended the previous year. Harry politely disagree with the warning, and Dobby wreaks havoc in the kitchen, infuriating the Dursleys. The Dursleys angrily imprison Harry in his room for the rest of the summer. Luckily, Harry's friend Ron Weasley steals Harry away in a flying car, and Harry happily spends the rest of the summer at the Weasley home. Ron parents were fine with Harry staying there with them. School was shortly coming around the corning and they needed books. They all went shopping for their books. Harry has two unfortunate encounters. He first encounters Lockhart, one of his teachers, who demands to be in a photo shoot with Harry. Harry then encounters Lucius Malfoy, the evil father of one of Harry's enemies, who almost starts a fight with Mr. Weasley. They start going to school and havoc starts happening.
The conflict of the book is that Harry, after a series of discoveries and mishaps, finally ends up inside the Chamber only to discover that Tom Riddle, whose diary and voice he had trusted up to this point, is another form of Voldemort, and the cause of all the attacks.
I would absolutely recommend this people who are very interested in magic and fantasies because this book is very interesting. Its very action packed and you can learn a lot of lessons during the reading of this book. Its a five out of a five for me.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Harry Potter was warned by a house elf that if Harry returns to Hogwarts, lots of bad things are going to happen to him. A few days after Harry arrived to Hogwarts, there had been lots of problems happening. Roosters were being killed, there were threatening words written on the wall, and Harry broke his arm while he is playing quidditch. When Harry was walking through the hall, students were saying that he is the heir of the slytherin because he could speak snakes and people were blaming him for all the things that's happening at Hogwarts. Harry found out about the chamber of secrets when he overheard it from professor Dumbledore. Harry went into the chamber of secrets with his friend Ron and a stuck up professor Lockhart.
Harry Potter solved his problem by defeating the basilisk and the memory of lord Voldemort when he was a teen. Harry Potter had also saved Ginny, the younger sister of Ron from dying, and he had also freed the house elf that warn Harry not to go to Hogwarts from his evil master Lucius Malfoy and he saved Hagrid from going to Azkaban because Hagrid was accused for opening the chamber.
I would recommend this book to the readers that likes to read Harry Potter books. I also recommend this book to readers who likes fantasy, young adults, and fiction.

This story takes place in reed. One event that happens is in the story is that nick tracked battle after for years and there reunited for summer before Battle goes to college. Another event is when Battle is already settled where her brother lives she has a moment with Merlyn, a roommate. Also another event is when battle finds a dog roaming around the street and she takes the dog. When she shows Nick, Nick tells her that the dog might have a owner. Then they take the dog to the vet to see if it has a owner and it does. Then they return it back to its owner even if Battle doesn't want to.
The problem the characters have are that battle had a moment with merlyn. But Merlyn tells battle that it was just a one time thing. Merlyn said that when Battle wanted to talk about what what happened with Merlyn. The solution for this problem is for both Battle and Merlyn to forget about it.
Another problem is that Nick has a lot of overdue bills to pay. But he hasn't paid them. Battle finds the bills in his closet.the solution for this problem is to tell her parents so they could help Nick pay them.
I think the message the author wanted me to get from reading this book is that sometimes life works out and sometimes it doesn't. I would recommend this book over all. The kind of reader that might enjoy this book is readers that like interested in family issues and problems. The Rules for Hearts

The Forest of Hands and TeethThe title of the book I read about is The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Published by Delacorte Press on March 10. 2009 in New York City. The genre is a work of fiction ( young adult, zombie apocalypse).
This book started with a girl name Mary live in a town ruled by the Sisterhood and the Guardians. She is a teenager who wishes to learn what lies beyond the village. She has a brother named Jed, he has taken to volunteering extra shifts for the Guardians pathols that monitor the fence line. And Travis, the boy Mary loves. Though he returns her feeling, he won’t marry her because his brother is in love with Mary. Instead, he asks Mary’s best friend, which is Cass to become his wife.
The village is surrounded by the fences. There are only three ways to go through the fence. Mary has been talking about the stories of her great grandmother. She is especially fascinated by the ocean and she say that if she could reach it, she wold be free. Mary must extricate, find the true love, and friendship while figuring out the mistery behind the other gate and fences.
But after all, sad, twisted turn of events she finds the ocean, but it isn’t at all what she expected. The message from this book is pleased accept all the love and do what you can do because who’s know what is gonna happen tomorrow. Because you will regret after all. I would recommended to all the teens to read this book because it interesting and it help you about reading book if you don’t like to read. Hope you have a good time.

The theme of the story is that no matter how bleak your chances may seem, there is always hope that you may prevail. Another theme would be that seeing isn't always believing. I would recommend this book to teens because of the book's " coming of age" theme. Also i think that this book would be great for those who like horror books and movies and also those who like a book with a great story line and plot. 100/100 for me.

In the book “You don’t even know me”, Sharon G. Flake narrates the story of teenagers with different issues that can occur in real life.
Flake show us the story of Eric, a 14 year-old boy who lives in North Philly with his stepfather a cop, mother, and 2 sisters. Eric is the main character with his cousin, a 13 year-old guy who has fascination for the fire. The story begun in Eric’s house. It’s July 4th and the heat is unbearable, this day in North Philly drive people crazy, so Eric's dad have to keep an eye on the streets.
Eric’s parents are gone so he have to take care of his two sisters. When his cousin arrives, he convinces Eric to go out and leave his sisters alone. Eric and his cousin begin an adventure. The first thing they do is, go and watch a fire, they stand there plenty of time, then they go a pool in a house because the heat but they were kicked out for getting into a pool that wasn’t theirs, so they go to the public swimming pool, there they met some girls and spend all the day with they; they saw the fireworks. At the end of the day Eric goes back home and face his dad, because he left his sisters alone.
Another story in Sharon’s book talk us about James, James is in high school and he’s writing a diary about his everyday life, but in the pages that Flake shows us he’s writing about his dead twin brother and how is he planning kill himself.
The last story we saw on the book it’s about a guy that fell in love with his neighbor, the only problem is that she’s older than him. In the stories Flake explains the behaviors this teen have, just to get the attention of his neighbor.
The message of this book is more directed to let teens know that they are others like them, that they can help from his peers and every time you need help someone or something it’s going to give it to you.
I highly recommend this book, if you are having problems like the characters of the book you can get help, even in the final page the author leaves you phone numbers of places where you can get help. If you are passing a bad moment in your life have no doubt of reading this book, the situations are really based on real life.

The main characters are cindy, rodney, jasmin and cindy's mother. The storey takes place in a school called bluford and at cindys house,. In the book cindy was starting her first year at bluford and at first she was nervous that she wasn't going to make friends but she became friends with Jasmine and at that jasmin broke up with Rodney because he was abusive and would hit her a lot and her friends told her to dump him so she did and then out of nowhere Rodney started talking to cindy and cindy went with it and the started to have feelings towards Rodney and one day Rodney kissed cindy and then asked her out and she said yes case she liked him. Cindy was happy that she was dating Rodney but she was nervous and afraid what jasmine her best friend would say once she saw then together and finds out that they are dating she will get mad at her n she ends up falling for Rodney and they kiss each other and then he ends up telling her if she wants to go out with him and she says yes she was so happy that she was dating Rodney but then at the same time she was kind of scared what Jasmine would think and if they would still be friends. So when she went to school the other day she was hanging out with Rodney at lunch and she saw that jasmin saw them together and she knew that they were going out. Earlier that day one of cindy's friends said if she was dating Rodney and she said yes she was and then cindy's friend says why would you go out with him don't you remember what he did to jasmin how he treated her and how he hit her and how her face looked after he was done cindy said that he changed and the only reason he did that was because he was on drugs but he’s not doing that anymore cindy’s friend just said that he's lying and that she was to talk to jasmin and then cindy said ok she will so one day jasmin called cindy on the phone to ask her if she wanted to go to the mall to go shopping and then cindy said yes so then jasmin said that she will go pick her up so then cindy said ok so then when they picked her up she went and got into the car there was jamin sister there and her two friends so when they were heading to the mall jasmine said why didn't you tell me that you were dating Rodney and then cindy said cause i like him and then jasmine said did you forget what he did to me and she was like yeah but he changed he told me that it was the drugs that made him do those things jasmine said that he's lying and that she doesn't care that they are dating it's just that she's afraid if he does what he did to me to you then cindy said dont worry he wont so then jasmine said alright. So then Rodney invites cindy to a party and cindy told jasmine were they were going when cindy got there with Rodney started taking drugs and was choking cindy then jasmine and her friends pushed him off of her and then Rodney had a heart attack and had to go to the hospital. I suggest this book to people who like drama.

The plot of this story starts when Nick comes to town and starts talking to Rose. Cyril is heartbroken to see both of his good friends fall for each other. One day Nick and Rose goes on a date and Nick begs Cyril to cook for them. As the date continues, Nick tells Rose that the meal was made by him even though Cyril cooked the food.
The conflict of this story starts when Nick tells Rose that he made her food even though Cyril it. Cyril knows that Rose loves food so he makes the food from his heart and gives it to Nick so Nick can give it to Rose. Whenever Nick gives Rose the food, he tells her that he made it. Nick and Cyril’s plan is to make Rose fall for Nick but little did Nick know that Cyril has feelings for Rose.
The resolution of this story starts when Nick and Rose are on another date and Rose ask Nick what he cooked in the meal. Nick couldn’t answer her question so he started cracking jokes and Rose started to have suspicious feelings. During the date, Nick ran after a dog and Rose spot Cyril hiding somewhere. She ask him why he was there and he said he was there for something school related. Rose finds out about Nick & Cyril’s plan and tells Cyril that she’ll never speak to him again. Cyril was so heartbroken that he messed up on his audition for cooking. One of his friends saw that he messed up on his audition and ask the judges to give him another chance. After his friend told him not to mess up this time, Cyril started to practice and do well but on the day of the audition, Rose came and watched Cyril cook during the audition. After the audition, Rose forgives Cyril and they have a good ending.
The theme of this story is like a one sided love but has a happy ending. The author’s message is telling us that we shouldn’t lie about things unless you’re looking for a huge chaos. Telling the truth is better than making up a lie because lies have consequences. I would recommend this book to teens/adults who enjoy reading about a one sided love or cooking.
Flavor of the Week

Brenda Woods has had some wonder novels that she has written in the past, but I got to say that Emako Blue was the best out of all of them. Woods is always talking about teenage issues and situations that any other teenage would go though. She talks drama, relationships and high school in the story. In Emako Blue, I found that the characters in the story were more interesting than the drama of the story.
Emako Blue is about a girl named Emako Blue who had hopes and dreams of becoming a singer. A lot of talent scouts wanted her to sign record deals, but her told her to turn them down so she can finish her school. Her friends describe her as beautiful. Monterey, Eddie and Jamal are her friends. W the exception of a girl named Savannah. But, all the problems had started for Emako when her brother, Donte, comes back from jail. One day while her best friend Monterey was over her house, someone was driving by the house looking for Donte while Donte and his friend was sitting on the porch. Emako and Monterey happen to be outside with them. And the people who were driving by had shooting at Donte, but the bullet hit Emako instead. This leads us right back to the beginning of the book. The setting takes place at Emako’s Funeral. Monterey (a friend, freshmen), Jamal (a lover, senior), Eddie (someone that understood her, senior) and Savannah (a rival, senior) come to together to tell the story that led up to this event in the bad side of Central Los Angeles.
The story’s point of view changes from one person in one chapter, to another person in other chapter. So, that the reader gets to know the perspectives of the main characters of the story. But they will never know the perspective of the main character of the story which is Emako.
Emako Blue was a book that made you think because it made think what if some of these events in the book were to happen to you. Emako Blue is a book that Brenda Woods’s fans will always remember. It a book you will enjoy, but the ending will make you want to cry. I would recommend this book for students twelve and up because some content can be inappropriate for students under twelve.Emako Blue

Zinkoff is gloriously unaware that he is unusual. All the way through third grade, he maintains an almost unblemished joy in life and openness to relationships with people of all ages. Unfortunately, only a few adults seem to understand and appreciate his special nature and among other children his age, he makes virtually no friends. His father, mother, and younger sister are all very supportive but the boy next door and another boy in school whom Zinkoff attempts to befriend reject his advances. And i recommend to all ages because every one is not perfect but everyone has good personality inside of them

Molly finds out that there is a graveyard in the backyard. Molly starts to feel concerned or is she just scared? Molly is looking for Heather and manages to find her, but discovers Heather talking to someone. Molly tells Michael about Heather's imaginary friend because she fears it may be a ghost. Heather calls her new friend Helen and threatens Molly and Michael that Helen will come to get them.
Molly attempts to convince Heather that Helen is dangerous. Every time Molly tries to get close to Heather, she would turn against her and get Molly into trouble. One day Molly follows Heather into the woods only to discover the Harper house and sees Heather and Helen. Helen leads Heather into the pond and Molly desperately runs after them slipping on the wet grass soaked by the rain. Molly reaches Heather in time before she drowned. Molly carries Heather to the abandoned house for shelter from the rain, and get trapped there for a few hours. Molly and Heather begin to bond for the first time and from that day on everyone finally became a real family.

One day in school Mitty’s teacher Mr.Lynch walked in the classroom asking them if they were almost almost finish the project that he had assigned them; Mitty was the only person that hasn’t started his project and the Mr.Lynch walked around asking what was there topic going to be about and once he got to Mitty he said,”smallpox.” So now Mitty has to do his project about smallpox.
The problem in this story is that will Mitty was doing some research about smallpox he came by this old book that had an envelope with what appeared like a scan of a person that had been in an epidemic of smallpox. Later on in the story Mitty realizes that he has smallpox and tries to find a way to get rid of them so the people he cared about didn’t get the disease but before he did he got kidnapped by two guys that have him in there basement.
I think that the message that the author is trying to give in this book is that not to leave everything for the last minute because if you do you can come by something that can harm you or other in many different ways. I would recommend this book to people that are interested in the books with a little of suspense.

The plot starts off with hazel as the narrator. She talks about her cancer and how she isn’t very talkative with others so her mom signs her up for a support group. This group takes place at a church and is for teens with a sickness. Hazel is forced to go to group and they all sit in a circle and introduce themselves. Hazel notices Augustus, who keeps staring at her. He notices her and just keeps staring until Hazel stares back. After support group, Augustus approaches Hazel and asks her out. She says yes and they end up going to Augustus’ house. They hang out and watch movies, then Augustus and her exchange books. Hazel told him to read An Imperial Affliction and tells him not to text her till he reads the whole book. Weeks go by and he calls. He’s as angry as Hazel because the author never finished the book , which has them questioning what happens. Augustus & Hazel email Peter Van Houten and tells him that he’s upset about the ending. Few weeks later they planned a trip to Amsterdam, where Peter Van Houten lives so they can meet him and ask all their questions. Augustus uses his genie wish from the make a wish foundation so him and hazel can go meet Peter. When they arrive to Amsterdam, Peter Van houten pays for them to go have a fancy dinner before they arrive to his house. Augustus confesses all his love for Hazel. After dinner they arrive at Peter’s home. Turns out peter is rude and miserable and starts insulting Hazel so they leave. Hazel calls him an ‘asshole’. They went to go tour Anne Frank's museum with Peter’s assistant because she feels bad for the way he treated Hazel and Augustus. About 2 months later after they go back home, Augustus gets sick and dies. Peter Van Houten goes to his funeral and gives Hazel a note Augustus wrote for him a while back. All it talks about is how much he loves Hazel.
There were many conflicts in this story. Hazel wanted to go to Amsterdam but she didn’t have enough money to travel. Augustus resolved the problem by letting her take his wish. When Augustus dies, Hazel cries for a long time. That was her one and only true love. That problem wasn’t really resolved.
The overall experience for this story in my opinion is true love, and to live life before it’s too late. This book made me cry just reading it because this is a young love story about two teenagers who are dying but fall in love anyways. I really thought Hazel was going to die first but it was a plot twist. This is common to many others because most couples can’t be together over something and this book is great for those for who are struggling the same as Hazel. I recommend this book to high schoolers and young adults because the author put so much detail and emotion into this story it is just a great book in general. The Fault in Our Stars

After that game the coach put Drew as the main QB he was so happy to finilay play. After a few games he started to set records for more yards thrown and touchdowns. After high school he went to college to play football he also was siting records and then after college he went to the NFL draft in 2001 there was also someone in the draft that was better than Drew Brees. It was Michael Vick he was as good or better than Drew Brees. Brees was drafted to San Diego Chargers where he played as a QB later on he was changed to the New Orleans Saints. He stayed at that team and he also won the superbowl in 2010 and he had his son. THE PACT
In this book, 3 young boy who never thought they would be best friends became best friends. The book tell their life story as the grew up and all that happened in their life. One of those boys is the narrator of this book and tells from his perspective. I believe that this book was written to show that no matter where you come from or how you grew up, you become anything if you put your mind to it. There will always be problems and downs in your life but don’t let it affect you and what you want to be. I would say this book was written for young men that think they are tough and think they can do what they want or for young men that think that they won’t make it in life and be someone. It was written for them to see that all you have to do is keep your head up and you can be anything… almost anything. I think the author want me to know that there are things that i would never expect to happen can happen. The message of this book is that no matter where you come from and what happens in your life, don’t let people put you down. Don’t let them tell you that you can’t, you just be yourself and do what you want. Not literally do what you want but you get the point. So far this is a good book and I would recommend this book for people to read. I would personally recommend this book to my dad’s aunt because she loves to read a lot.

Iggy first got suspended from school because he follow this hot girl to class and he ended up in the wrong class and the teacher thought that Iggy was going to hit her so they called security and got him suspended. They set up a hearing for Iggy and his family to come and discuss about Iggy behavior at school but Iggy parents are drug addict. Iggy mom is always away and all his dad do is smoke and drink all day. So Iggy decided to seek help from his friend mo but it seems like mo also have his own problem. Mo bought a ton of drugs from Freddie and he owe Freddie a couple grand and he didn't know how to pay it back so they went to mo mom house to ask for money. Mo mom decide to help Iggy out by going to his hearing. But he turn out not going and mo mom decided to pay for Iggy community so he can go there and learn, Instead using the money for learning he decided to give it to mo so he could pay back Freddie. They plan to pay him at a church on Christmas eve. At the last moment before handing over mo the money Iggy decided to do something that change his life.
There was actually two main conflict throughout the story. one for Iggy and one for mo. Iggy try to go back to school he got expel from but he has to go to the hearing but none of his parents even care about him and he is trying to find a way to change people mind on him. Mo conflict ios that he owe Freddie a couple grand for the drugs he bought and he couldn't pay it back and he might get killed for not paying back.
Iggy didn't solve his problem to go back to school because he skip the hearing and he decided to use the money that mo money give him to help mom pay off the drug money he owe Freddie. But at the end Iggy decided to do something else instead of just handing over the couple grand to Freddie.
I think the main theme is that you must sacrifices things to help others. for example Iggy deiced to sacrifice his school and the money that mo mom give him for a community and he decided to give the money to mo so he wont be in danger anymore. i believe another not so important theme is that its never too late to change. At the end instead of just letting Freddie take the money so easy he decided to fight back and shoot mo and call the cops instead of just letting Freddie doing this to other people.

Peter was heading into his freshman year with it all figured out. He was great at baseball, pitching and dreaming about making the high school team and becoming sports superstar status along with his best friend, AJ. The last pitch of his middle-school career, though, ended his dream. Peter’s elbow was became useless, and the doctor informed him that he would never pitch a ball again. Without baseball, Peter is convinced that he doesn’t have an identity, and he isn’t sure how to tell AJ that he won’t be able to play ball again. So he doesn’t and instead throws himself into his other interest like photography.
Peter’s grandfather had been a photographer for what seemed like forever. He captured numerous weddings, sporting events, war footage, and, of course, Peter’s youth. Peter learned everything about photography from his grandfather and was hoping to learn more, when his grandfather suddenly calls it quits one day for no reason. This unusual event gradually leads to other perplexing behavior, such as putting up post-it notes all around his house reminding him to brush his teeth, where the dishes go, and other everyday tasks. Peter just can’t accept that something could be wrong with his grandfather until he meets a girl in his photography class named Angelika.
Angelika and Peter are both thrown into the advanced photography class as freshmen because they know too much, and they eventually hit it off. Peter starts confiding in Angelika, but he grows worried about what is happening with his grandfather. She is convinced that his grandfather has what her grandmother had, Alzheimer’s disease. She also figures out that he can’t play baseball again and hasn’t told AJ yet. As Angelika starts pressing him to accept the truth about many things, Peter isn’t sure he’s ready to handle all the curveballs that life is throwing his way.
Peter finally decides to tell Aj the truth about not being able to play baseball and they both finally accepts the reality. Peter’s grandpa decides to go to a nursing home and Peter has been visiting him all days. At school Peter is very happy with her girlfriend Angelika and Aj too with the girl the Peter and Angelika introduce to him. Over all their all good friend and stand up for each other.
I like this book because it shows how to move on when everything seems crumbling down. This book will also show the power of friendship. I recommend this book to all teenagers and adults to show them that there’s always another way and if they can use the support of their love ones.
Curveball: The Year I Lost My Grip

After learning that his best friend James has chosen a destructive path, Alfred decides to join Donatelli's Gym and train as an amateur boxer.
Conflict: Alfred begins to box and that’s the only thing he does. Alfred becomes a really good boxer but Donatelli wants Alfred to quit boxing. Mr. donatelli thinks that Alfred doesn’t have the killer instinct. Alfred gets into a fight with Hubbard and realize he needs to stop. Donatelli stops the fight and tells Alfred to stop boxing
Resolution: Alfred leaves the gym and ends up finding James.Alfred tries to convince James to go to the hospital, but James wants to be left alone. James asks Alfred for money for a fix, but Alfred refuses and says he wants to help James beat the addiction. Alfred tells James that he is going to stick by him, and that they are going to go back to school and that James is going to get a job. Alfred says he will help with everything. James refuses, and Alfred gets up to leave, which makes James relent. The book ends as Alfred walks James to the hospital.
Theme: QUITTING
For people in Alfred's position, quitting is not merely the ceasing of activity. Quitting is giving up in a way that begets a future with sparse ambition and little success. Quitting seems so easy, as indicated by James's and Alfred's hasty decisions to quit school. Furthermore, Alfred quits boxing, and James, worse still, quits functioning in normal society. For people whose prospects seem dim, quitting seals one’s fate, trapping one into a life that he or she feels he or she cannot escape. Alfred demonstrates a will and determination that will not allow him to simply quit. What he learns about himself through his boxing training is that he is the kind of person who does not want to quit.
Recommendation: Yes i would recommend this book. I would recommend this book because i enjoyed this book. The book “the contender” was filled with excitement and action. I liked this book mainly because of the fighting. I think that people that like boxing would like this. The ContenderThe ContenderThe ContenderThe ContenderThe ContenderThe Contender

The ugly truth
Main characters:
Greg Heffley is 13 years old. Greg's actions can however be antagonistic at times.trying to steal money from a church collection basket, lying in confession, picking on other students, playing pranks on his best friend, selling falsely advertised fitness water and even praying for bad stuff to happen to others. However, he can also be a kind hearted character. He helps his brother with his homework at the climax of Rodrick Rules, gets his friend a date for a dance in The Third Wheel, helps out, and forgives his friends.
Rowley Jefferson Is Greg's best friend. Rowley begins dating Abigail Brown, a girl who was originally Greg's date for the valentine's day dance. Rowley has what Greg considers strange interests for his age and gender, such as liking a singer for "eight-year-old girls" named Joshie and action figures Greg believes are for younger kids
Susan Heffley is Greg's mother. Though she is loving and motherly, she sometimes seems naive, embarrassing, and overprotective, apparently thinking she knows about what kids Greg's age are into when in fact, this is not the case. She and her husband pay far more attention to Manny than their other two sons.
Frank Heffley is Greg's overactive but well-meaning father. Frank is edgy around Rowley does not appreciate Greg's skill at video games, and loathes heavy metal.
Manny Heffley is Greg and Rodrick younger brother. He is an annoying, spoiled child who is constantly doted on by his mother. He makes a great number of demands and throws temper tantrums if they are not fulfilled. He frequently damages Greg's property. Whenever they go on vacations, Manny ends up ruining it and gets away with it. The excessive coddling he receives from his parents infuriates Greg. He also takes advantage of his overindulgence.
Rodrick Heffley is Greg's aggressive older brother. He is the drummer in a garage band called "Loded Diper". Rodrick is notorious for his stereotypical rebellious nature, feigning illness in Rodrick Rules so as to be allowed to remain at home to throw a chaotic house party during his parents' absence, only for the evidence to appear in newly developed photographs that are quickly discovered by the boy's' parents. He bullies Greg a lot and pulls awful pranks that ruins Greg's and his family's life.
Plot:
The story begins with Greg explaining that since he and his best friend Rowley have had a big fight, their friendship has been history. Susan Heffley, Greg's mother, announces that she will be going back to college for a few months in order to stimulate her mind. As a result, the Heffley men must take care of themselves, and most stability falls apart. Food is often ruined, and since Susan usually does the chores around the house, Greg is left with little clean clothes to wear. Greg is also given the responsibility of waking himself up. He tries a better alarm clock than his older one, which didn't work, a wind-up clock. He put it under his bed so he would have to get out of bed to find it. But with the clock ticking loudly under his bed, he feels like he is on top of a bomb and therefore gets no sleep. As a result, Greg accidentally sets off the fire alarm at school in his sleep-deprived state. The entire school has to evacuate, and the fire brigade is called. After everyone goes back in, the head teacher says that whoever set off the alarm will be suspended and should turn themselves in. The day before the wedding, Greg complains about no entertainment at Gammie's, and how old and valuable her belongings are. The year before, Greg ate some old taffy and got sick. Then he finds a photo of his father, Frank eating it when he was a kid. Later Greg finds out during the wedding rehearsal,he was going to be assistant flower boy to Manny, and not a groomsman. On the day of the wedding, after the ceremony, the Heffleys go into the hall where food was getting served and Uncle Gary's best man Leonard gave a toast of how Uncle Gary and Sonja got engaged. When Gary and Sonja went to a baseball game, Gary was about to break up with Sonja so he could date her sister.
Conflict: Greg gets invited to a popular kid's party (Jordan Jury) but then he find's out he has to go to his uncle Gary's wedding although he has been married 4 times, in the end, it turns out that the kids Greg's age only came so they could be servants for the party.
Resolution: The resolution is how greg and rowley become friends again.
Theme: The theme of the ugly truth is many obstacles in a boy's life that always come out the way he didn't want it to be.

The Outsiders
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton,is about two weeks in the life of a 14-year-old boy. The novel tells the story of Ponyboy Curtis and the life that he and his friends and brothers live. Ponyboy and his two brothers Darry and Sodapop lost their parents in a car accident. The boys are greasers, a class term that refers to the young men on the East Side, the poor side of town.
The story opens with Pony walking home alone from a movie; he is stopped by a gang of Socs who proceed to beat him up. The Socs beat up and threaten to kill Ponyboy however, some of his gang happen upon the scene and run the Socs off. This incident sets the tone for the rest of the story, because the event tells the reader that a fight between these two groups is going to happen again.
The next night , Pony and his friend Johnny go to the drive-in and meet two girls Cherry and Marcia who apart of the socs. Later, Ponyboy and Johnny fall asleep in the vacant lot. When they wake up, it's two in the morning. Ponyboy’s oldest brother Darry was mad when they came home late at night and Ponyboy ran away from home. So greg is in school and it is almost valentine's day. Greg is trying to find a girlfriend to take to the school dance. When Greg tried to get a girl he just failed because of Rowley and his wingman. Love is in the air, but what does that mean for Greg Heffley? A Valentine's Day dance at Greg's middle school has turned his world upside down. His best friend, Rowley, doesn't have any prospects either, but that's a small consolation. An unexpected twist gives Greg a partner for the dance and leaves Rowley the odd man out. But a lot can happen in one night, and in the end, you never know who's going to be lucky in love. Greg Heffley is not willing to be the odd man out. A dance at Greg's middle school has everyone scrambling to find a partner, and Greg is determined not to be left by the wayside. Characters: Greg Heffley, Rowley Jefferson, Abigail Brown, Rodrick Heffley, and Greg's Mom and Dad. The main conflict in Diary of a Wimpy Kid is in the Third Wheel is that Greg and Rowley have the same date to the Valentine's Day Dance at school. The girl likes Rowley better and the two boys get into a fight because of it. I really like this because it is a fun easy book to read. Also some main parts in the book is that, Uncle Gary had borrowed money from Greg’s dad, Frank, to buy a Boston t-shirt stand. However, all of the t-shirts were misspelled, saying “Botson” instead of “Boston”. As a result, Uncle Gary is broke and needs a place to crash. At Greg’s mom’s insistence, Gary stays with the family.

In the book Letting Ana Go, the author is Anonymous and the she’s the the girl in the story that was her calorie diary but it was more of a diary. Her track coach gave her the journal so she could keep track of her calories but she would also write about how her day went. Her friends were in track with her and one of her friends Jill got herself to think the thinner you were the pretty you were so she somehow got Ana to think the same way. Jill would already restrict the amount of calories to about 1000 a day so Ana started doing the same. Ana started to date Jill’s brother Jack and when it was prom night Ana got to her goal of weighing 110 pounds. She then passed out that night and woke up in a hospital, they put her in a program of people who suffer with anorexia. Later they sent Jill away to a program of the same thing and when Ana and JIll realized their problem they started to gain weight but their anorexia got to them and made them want to lose all their weight again. Ana and Jill were making plans to go run so Ana said she would run to her house so they could go run but Ana never made it there so Jack and Jill went to look for her and they found her lying on the floor passed out so they called the police and then she woke up in the hospital again.

In the novel, “ The Face on the Milk Carton” by Caroline B. Cooney the main characters Janie Johnson, Reeve Shields, Sarah-Charlotte Sherwood , and The Spring family all play in an important role in the story. Janie is the protagonist of the story, is 15 years old, and believes she was kidnapped by her step parents. Reeve is Janie's next door neighbor whom he grew up with, tells Janie everything, and dates Janie. Sarah-Charlotte is Janie's best friend, talks about boys, and tries to figure everything out. The Spring family is Janie’s biological family and is the family Janie was kidnapped from.
The different events in the story are Janie sees her own picture on the milk carton, she confronts her “parents” with the information she has obtained, Janie goes to see the Spring family, she and her boyfriend Reeve return to her “parents”, who eventually contact the Spring family themselves.
The conflict of the Janie is when she sees the picture on the milk carton and recognizes that the kidnapped girl in the picture is actually herself at the age of three, wearing a dress that she remembers she wore. Another conflict in the story is with her adopted parents Frank and Miranda. She wants to find out more about her birth parents and the circumstances of her kidnapping but they want to protect her and themselves from possible legal complications and also from the cult.
The conflict is resolved at the end of the book as the Johnson's have Janie call her real parents. She spoke to hear real mother for the first time. Later on in the book she is reunited with her biological parents.
The message the author wanted to give us is to trust your instincts. In the beginning of the book Janie doesn't want to accept the fact that she has been kidnapped She doesn't want to accept
That she is Janie Spring.
I would recommend this book overall because it’s an interesting story about a girl who is kidnapped and doesn’t realize she is kidnapped until she sees a picture of herself on the milk carton of kids who were missing. A reader that might enjoy this book is someone likes to read books about mysteries and adventure.

At a high school in the Bronx, students in Mr. Ward's English class are learning all about the Harlem Renaissance. When Mr. Ward assigns them an essay to write, Wesley, one of the kids in class, has the bright idea to write a poem instead it's what they're studying, after all. Mr. Ward asks Wesley to read his poem out loud, and Open Mike Fridays are born.
Every Friday, the eighteen kids from Mr. Ward's class bring in poems to read in front of the other students. Tyrone is pretty psyched about this development because it fits in with his dreams of being a rapper and a songwriter writing poetry is pretty close to rapping. Pretty soon, Tyrone is way into school and is writing poems every week for Open Mike Fridays. He used to not like to learned and this made him focus.
The story goes on to give us a mini-glimpse into the lives of each of Mr. Ward's students. There's Raul, who wants to be an artist. Lupe who thinks having a baby while still in high school will give her someone to love. Janelle who feels insecure about her weight. Steve who dreams of working on Broadway and Porscha who's angry because her mom died of a drug overdose.
Slowly, Tyrone discovers that he doesn't really know much about his classmates. As each kid reads a poem and opens up about their struggles and their dreams, they all learn that they're really not so different after all. Everyone feels insecure, everyone feels like they don't belong, and everyone worries about the future. It's like one big love group in English class.
By the end of the book, Mr. Ward's class has been written up in the newspaper and read poems during an assembly in front of the whole school. Open Mike Fridays are so successful that Mr. Ward decides to do them in every class next year and to add a poetry slam competition.Tyrone did not want a future and now Tyrone is so there now .

In the story named, “Odd Girl Out” by Rachel Simmons is about explaining how girls express their aggression towards each other. The author, Rachel Simmons gathered stories of people being bullied and explains them for the first time. Throughout the book she gives advice to the girl’s, parents, teachers, and school administrators. Therefore in this book she explains the ways that teen girls act when they get aggressive.
Odd Girl Out was written to explain the struggles of teenage girl problems. The author is trying to inform the readers about their aggression and gives them advice that might help. Rachel gathered teenage girls and asked them questions about having problems with friends. She basically asks them how they feel in certain situations. Then asks how would they react if they were in a bad or good situation.
The author wrote the book for mainly everyone. She wants everyone to know about this situation so things won’t get out of hand with teenage girls. Rachel wants to spread the word around the world about girls aggression problems. Maybe she got bullied at school so she doesn’t want girls to feel the same way she did. The author wrote this so she could tell the stories of the victims and inform the readers the consequences.
Rachel wanted us to know about how girls emotionally feel. She wants us to know how we all feel about girls/women. Also how we treat each other. Some girls even called their friends fake and explained how they felt about that. Rachel wants us to help girls out before someone gets physically and emotionally hurt.
Rachel informs how bullying and accidents can be avoided if we acknowledge our aggression. She gives us advice that could help us and that could help other people too. Mainly every girl has been in the same situation that girls in the book have been in. I would recommend this book to everyone. We could all learn about helping each other when we are in a bad situation.Odd Girl Out: The Hidden Culture of Aggression in Girls

The book I'm doing a book report on is the third and last book of the series of Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children that's called Library Of Souls. It is a fictional book written by Ransom Riggs. The main characters in this book are still Jacob Portman, Emma Bloom, Miss Peregrine, Addison and there are even some new characters as well. There's Sharon a peculiar who does tours as well as Myron Bentham and Caul Bentham who are Miss Peregrine's brothers. Then there’s also the whole gang of peculiars ( Olivia, Bronwyn, Enoch, Horace, Hugh, Millard Claire, as well as the twins) that Jacob and Emma have been with.
What happens in this story is that Jacob can now control hollows and he is doing exactly that in the train station so that Emma, Addison and himself could get away and try to go rescue their friends from the wights that took them. They make their way to the entrance of the loop "Devil's Acre" where Sharon a new characters takes them into the loop and accompany them on their way to trying to rescue their friends. There Sharon takes them to one of his friends Bentham who we later learn is Miss Peregrine's brother. There they make up a plan to rescue the peculiars, and Addison who found his own way in the building and got captured in doing so, by reactivating Bentham's room of loops to be able to enter the big castle like building that the peculiars are being imprisoned in. To do this Jacob has to do a very big task but in the end he ends up pulling through and being able to activate the loops. As Emma and Jacob go in they scope out the place until they are seen by wights and start running around creating a hectic war like scene that Sharon and his friends as well as Bentham help take care of as Jacob and Emma go search for their friends. They soon find their friends and free them and go look for the ymbrynes but all of them except Jacob get trapped, but Jacob then taps into his peculiar ability and was able to control 13 hollows to help release everyone and get out of the building only to be greeted by war happening outside. Jacob then uses his hollows to fight back but in the end Bentham betrays all of them for his brother Caul. Both Bentham and Caul take everyone prisoner and take them with them to go find the library of souls while also bringing Jacob along since he is the key to seeing the peculiar power souls that Caul wants to steal and give to himself. In the end Caul and Bentham both end up gaining special abilities but Caul is defeated by Bentham and Miss Peregrine as they both destroyed to loop and killed both Caul and Bentham in the process. And when everything went back to normal Jacob returned back to his normal life and kept in contact with Emma until one day he decided to come back to the loop, to Emma, and be together.
The conflict that occurs in this book is the hollow that Jacob first controlled at the train station is now following him and the people he is traveling with which is putting them all in danger. There's also conflict when those pirate type guys are being rude to Sharon and they all end up in a huge fight in the middle of a river. Conflict as well occurred when Jacob, Addison and Emma tried finding a way into the castle by themselves and ended up being attacked by the hollow that was guarding the bridge. Also when Bentham ended up betraying everyone for Caul there was conflict towards him. And when Bentham and Caul were fighting there was conflict while everyone was trying to run out of the loop as fast as they could so they could be safe. There was also some conflict between Jacob and his parents when they first were talking about where Jacob had been and what he was doing the whole time he was missing.
There were however resolutions to all the conflict that occurred in the story. The hollow that was following Jacob was captured by some pirates after Jacob controlled it to fling itself as far away from where he was. As for the rude pirates that started a fight Jacobs hollow came right in time for Jacob to make it attack the pirates so Sharon, Emma and Jacob had time to escape from them. The resolution for Addison, Emma and Jacob being attacked by the bridge hollow was that after a while Jacob was able to make the hollow release all of them safely to the ground where it was safe and leave them alone for a little bit. When Bentham betrayed everyone including his own sister the resolution to that was when Bentham realized what he did was wrong and made up for it by trying to help defeat Caul and his crazy insane plan of controlling the whole world. This is also the resolution to when everyone was running to safety from Caul and Bentham fighting because Bentham was providing time for them to escape before Miss Peregrine and the other ymbrynes blew the whole loop up and destroyed Caul with it. And lastly Miss Peregrine was the solution to calming Jacob's parents down. She used her special ymbryne power that makes people forget what they saw, when they were freaking out about Jacob and where and what he was doing.
Some possible themes of this story is to not be self-centered and selfish. I think this is a possible theme because of how Caul wanted all the peculiar abilities to himself in order to be the most powerful leader but ended up paying for being selfish and greedy and only thinking about what he wanted and not about anyone else or any peculiar else. Another very important possible theme is love. This is a theme because love is what brought Jacob to the peculiars in the first place, his love for his grandpa, and love is what they all developed for each other and relied on to keep each other going. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone because it is totally a 10/10 great book to read. Especially if you're into dark fantasy type books because you will definitely like this book.
Library of Souls

In the realistic-fiction book Lucy In The Sky, by an unknown author, is about a girl named Lucy who most of her life has had issues fitting in with people and making friends. Lucy has a nice family , her mother who's name is not mentioned , her father who's name also isn't mentioned and her older brother Cam who takes care of her and is a bit responsible about her. Throughout the beginning of Lucy's junior year her brother takes her out to party with him for the first time ever. Lucy was excited and worried at the same time about it. She was worried about not fitting in at the party. once she's at the party she meets two new females Lauren and Astrid , both also in the same grade as her. As the party goes on she stays with them the whole time and becomes really close with them but mostly with Lauren. Later in the book they both become the best of friends and end up going out a lot together and going to party's. As Lucy goes she meets new people each with different stories and different likes. At one part Lucy opens up to trying new things with her friends and try's smoking pot. Little does she know that this leads to doing different drugs with her friends and having different trips. while all of this happens at one point something big happens to Lucy for trying to have fun different ways and the influences around her. The overall theme of the book is to be yourself and have fun your own way and not a way somebody else influences. I would recommend this book to people who like suspenseful books and anybody who worries if they should change their ways to fit in.

In the fiction story, “ Woodsong”, by. Gary Paulsen, is about a man who travels with his sled dogs, where he is out in the cold wilderness nature, where he experiences different things with his sled dogs. Therefore, his sled dogs and him determine whether they survive or not in the Arctic. In this story, the main characters are Gary Paulsen and the Sled Dogs, who run with Gary Paulsen. Gary works with a company that works with dogs and trains them with the team.
In the story, the setting and events occurred in Alaska/ Minnesota where gary and the sled dogs went. They had gone because they sent them on a mission because they were gonna race against others. But, what happened was that Gary wasn’t comfortable with the weather because it was too cold. That’s why he wasn’t used to the weather, but he still survived in that weather.
As Gary and the sled dogs were out in the arctic, they had some difficult stuff like Gary couldn’t sleep well because he was freezing. Also, they were almost going to the wrong path in the woods. But, they went back to the right path, and went from there. Also, they found themselves some polar bears. The polar bears were about to attack Gary and the sled dogs but they had a chance to run away from the polar bears. In other words, they were just find and just doing what they needed to do.
The way Gary and the sled dogs solved these problems that they were to get used to the weather, and they were just running and running to get prepared for the race that they have. Therefore, they took food also and water to eat while they were there. In that case, they were prepared for this mission and race against the others. Likewise, that’s how they solved their problems in the arctic.
In conclusion, I think the theme for this fiction story is that Gary needed to know how to trust the dogs when they were his source of transportation. Also, he learned that when he didn’t trust them, there was a serious price to pay. Therefore, he needs to take good care of them. As a result, I think the message that the author wanted me to get was that it’s good to have a dog with u to play with them, and also to take care of them. Also, Yes I would recommend this book to one of my friends, so they can read something new and learn new things from this book. I think the type of person who would read this book, is a person who loves dogs and enjoys sled dogs.Woodsong

The book begins with this unknown child explaining who Donald Zinkoff is, and his life throughout elementary school. First grade for Zinkoff is where his weird antics are established for the rest of the book. From his constant laughing to his vomiting issue, Zinkoff would enter the second grade with peers whom at first laughed about it, to now stigmatizing him for it. Second grade sees him changing and and adapting to the birth of his sister Polly. Whose presence would force a deep change in Zinkoff’s lifestyle. Third, fourth, and fifth grade revolves around his more competitive and social side. From his first time being sad over not having friends, to his eventual and sad death.
The main conflict revolving in “Loser” would be Zinkoff’s social discrepancies. His constant bullying and stigma eventually drove his death. His parents being the witnesses that they were, didn’t do much about it. Meaning a sub conflict would be child neglect and abandonment.
Being the sad story it was, there was no resolution. It ended with Polly going to first grade in her first day, normal and without a weird hat. Other than that, the only thing resembling a solution was his death.
I guess the theme of this book was the precious and innocent life of a child whose uniqueness was misplaced and eventually driven into death’s release.
The intended audience for this audience would be anyone looking for a book that’s abstract in nature, such as intellectuals or average people.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas HAMZA NASIR MIRABAL PERIOD 1

Saint Iggy is a fiction novel, written by the author K.L Going. The story is about the character Iggy. A 16 year old freshman who is on the way of getting kicked out of his school. His friend Mo who is a law school dropout and has, and Mo’s mother. Iggy wants to change how people think of him, thanks to principal believing he’s a good kid even with his school record and a “gray girl” Iggy see’s every now and then in throughout the book. When he receives mail from his school about a hearing, his mother isn’t around to hear him out and his father simply doesn’t care. Mo usually gives him money but when he’s on drugs and he didn’t have neither at the time, so then they go to Freddie, a drug dealer who gives free samples. Although he wants to start being a better person and stop doing drug in his life again because iggy was somewhat addicted to drug when she was young.
Iggy and Mo both have their own problems, Iggy wants to find his mother who seems to have been gone for a long time and has his hearing to decide whether or not he stays in his school. Mo decides to get drugs from from Freddie, but only to later notice he won’t be able to pay him, this affects Iggy in more ways than he thinks. Most of the time Iggy and Mo try and resolve these issues in Mo’s mother's apartment, Iggy’s apartment, Mo’s house, Freddies “never ending party” and a church Iggy visits near the end of the story. Most of these problems turn out horribly but are resolved never the less such as the drug deal with Freddie. Iggy and Mo do end up getting money to pay Freddie, but only after a few days of living with Mo’s mother. Iggy does find his mother, but not the way or place he was hoping to.
This book could be recommended to those who are interested in the young adult or realistic fiction genre. Iggy is a character almost anyone can empathize and his progress throughout the story to change himself is really interesting. It’s almost as if you’re cheering him on from the sidelines.

Nora Grey, is the protagonist in the book, “Crescendo”. She’s fearless, brave, smart. careless, funny, and oblivious. However, Nora Grey doesn’t have a regular life, let’s she say she wants to be loved but her boyfriend can’t feel emotion. Patch, is the next main character, he’s immortal, a guardian angel for Nora Grey, and also her boyfriend. He’s dangerous, rebellious, mysterious, punk, brave, strong, smart, and caring (only for Nora). Vee Sky, is Nora’s best friend, she is funny, immature, judgey, caring, but also very brave. Rixon, is Patch’s best friend, he is fallen angel. Vee’s boyfriend, he’s funny, caring, dangerous, trader. Marcie Millar, is an enemy of Nora and Vee, she’s annoying, rude, obnoxious, rich, and a attention seeker. Scott Parnell, is Nora’s childhood best friend, he’s rude, smart, scared, a drunk, brave, strong, and annoying.
“Crescendo” has its minor character as well, such as The Black Hand, Detective Basso, and Mr. Miller. The Black Hand is unknown, no one knows his real name or what he does, he is dangerous, mysterious, strong, and unpredictable. Detective Basso, is an officer, is he annoying and just an ordinary person. Mr. Miller is an rich, awful, and dangerous person (he turns out to be The Black Hand).
It all starts when Nora is being haunted by images of her father’s murder, and questions why she gets these images, to find out the truth she puts herself in danger. The pile adds on when Patch has been acting very distant and starts spending a lot more time with Marcie Miller, her enemy which makes her jealous and gets mad at Patch. More adds onto the pile when her best friend childhood best friend moves back into town and she questions why he’s back, she can’t this lingering feeling that he is hiding something big.
The conflict begins in the beginning story when Nora gets nightmares from her father’s murder. She wants to knows to know truth about the night he died, but in order to do that, she has put herself in danger. The thing is the more she finds out the truth, the more she’s scared to find out. Someone reached out to her and told that The Black Hand is the one responsible for his death, but the question is: Who is he? Where can she find him? Scott, her childhood best friend, turns out to be Nephilim, and knows information about The Black Hand, he was running away from him. Patch her now ex-boyfriend appears here and there but he doesn’t help, as it seems.
There hasn’t been a solution just yet. The problem is going on until the next book, I think. However, she did find out everything necessary about The Black Hand (thanks to Patch who ends up turning out to be helping her this whole time) who turns out to be Mr. Miller, and her father. The man she grew up calling father wasn’t her biological father, but Mr. Miller’s friend. The man she grew up calling father isn’t the one she should fear, but her biological father.
The overall meaning in this book is to never stop fighting for what you want whether it’s a something or someone. Never doubt yourself and never fear. To also never push people away because they end up being the person you need the most.
I would recommend this book to anyone. It’s fascinating, interesting, and action-packed. People who are interested in fantasy, romance, and in fiction will definitely enjoy this book.
