At one point, Ada locks her father in their house while she is out for a bit and then later justifies this by saying that "she made the best decision she could make."

Who else in the story uses this logic, and is it okay? Do you feel like you would have made different decisions in any situation?

Raeann | 21 comments David definitely "made the best decision he could" several times in the story. And they seemed appropriate given the information presented.

Ada locking David in the house did seem like a "good decision" considering her age and how her world was crumbling around her. What else was she to do than try to keep David safe. Even if maybe it wasn't the best idea. From her perspective it wasn't a bad one.

I think I would have done exactly the same thing as Ada. She was attempting to deal with the fact that her father wasn't all there and made a compromise. All we can ever do is the best we can at the time.
