Traumatic experiences can tend to either bond people or pull them apart. Do you think that being stuck in an elevator for 8 hours worked for Tiel and Sam or against them?

Jaime (jmhaughey) It totally worked for them. That kind of incident, you see someone at their worst. Fears are displayed, there isn't a place to hide. Tiel made the best of it; listening to music.

Regina Breier | 3 comments I do not think they would have become a couple without the experience. Sam had always felt he was being judged, intentionally or not by family, and the hours in the elevator with Tiel were outside his normal. That alone was enough for him to want more.

Tiel had her instant pull toward him and the fact that she was more free spirited, did not mind exploring this new person to see what could happen.

I so agree with you Regina. I think that experience was so needed in order to open Sam's eyes to Tiel. I'm not sure he would've looked twice without it.
