Elizabeth E | 49 comments I got a ARC from my local library, and when I looked up the given ISBN, the actual book was already there (took me over a year to get to this book, oops), and I was wondering what the policy is regarding ARCs. I already checked for an edition without an ISBN, thinking that might be an ARC, but there are none. Do ARCs just vanish or get subsumed into the final release version, or do they get added as their own book, with their not final cover, and no ISBN? Thanks in advance!

It looks like if your ARC was different in some way, then you can add a new edition. But I would recommend making sure you add a librarian's note so it doesn't get merged by mistake.

Elizabeth E | 49 comments Thank you Miriam! Mine is paperback instead of hardcover, so that did help.

Alex | 2736 comments You should also add "Advance Reader Copy" to the edition field. If there is an ISBN associated with it, be sure to note that on the edit page librarian note and the description field, as you would an ACE. :)
