Lyndol Burns Parrish (dixiebelle72) | 15 comments Looking for Historical romances that have sisters, cousins, or stepsisters competing for the hero. You know the type. One sister (the heroine) is a sweetheart and the other sister that is trying to steal the hero is cruel, crazy, and vindictive. Please don't suggest any that the hero is already married to the evil sister or one that the evil sister or step sister isn't actually evil and shallow. Just read one like this and absolutely loved it so can't wait to hear some suggestions. Thank you :)

BlackSheep | 15 comments I loved Ashes in the Wind by Kathleen E. woodiwiss. It was so good that I have re-read it many times (along with all KEW's books).
The evil cousin tricks H into marrying her. But it all works out in the end. I highly rec this book.

Lyndol Burns Parrish (dixiebelle72) | 15 comments Are you sure that's the right book title? It isn't the one I was thinking of. Ashes in the wind is in America and I don't think the heroine has a female cousin.

Lyndol Burns Parrish (dixiebelle72) | 15 comments Sorry I was thinking of the book "Only a duke will do" by Tamara Gill. It's set in England and on the night before the hero and heroines marriage her friend or cousin sneaks into the dukes bed and traps him into marriage. The heroine travels to London a few years later and the duke is still in love with her and the scheming female that stole her fiancé does all she can to hurt her. It all works out in the end but this scheming female is just horrible.

Oh, BlackSheep I LOVE Ashes in the Wind and like you, all of the others. I sometimes re-read A Rose in Winter and of course The Flame and the Flower - let's not forget her medieval The Wolf and the Dove. Such Classics!!
