I don't think there's much of a consensus about it? A lot of the characters have been trained before coming to Ainsley or are legacies of the Gauntlet, from what I've seen.

So when writing a characters history, how would they come to the academy and at what age do the usually come at?
Ages 18-25 are allowed into the academy. And if you're asking 'how' as in transportation, we never specified. I would just keep it simple and say they came.

Also for my trio I maybe wanted to do something for one of the guys (either Remus or Elias) where perhaps they were all once friends with another guy/girl but that person was more separated from the group and not necessarily central to their whole dynamic. Sort of ignored and a lackey that followed them around- or if its a girl someone they treated like a sister and would leave her behind sometimes claiming they had "guy business" to attend to XD and then they have this whole reunion thing during training and they are like DAMN- that's them now lol idk it's just an idea

Ohh maybe Jerome could've been closer with her too at the time? Because I could see him sort of being on the fringes with the other two in the beginning of their friendship and especially when the two started getting involved with girls. So he's like the first to recognize her by her name and everything and then the other two are like damn >.> Omg when she stopped going outside what if theycdidnt even notice for a hella long time and then they finally visited her house and someone else is there and they're like "sorry I've been living here a few months" that or they visit and it's sorta awkward because they never visited her house before and then they never visit again 0.0 which is sad.
