I read this book a long time ago, maybe 10ish years. I only remember the one part. There are 2? kids floating down a river. On the banks are dinosaurs (obviously they are not in the present). They end up in a cave. In the cave are creatures. They are sort of a clear, jelly like blob and when they touch you, you get burned or hurt. Because the cave is very dark (I think it's underground) they hunt by sound. The kids try to escape by climbing up the stalactites. And that's all I remember. I think maybe some guy ended up saving them by drilling a hole in the cave roof.

fits a bit Description:Zack and his Ute Indian friend find themselves trapped in a cave with a living dinosaur -- the deadly Utahraptor.
If not, what genre would this book fit into? Horror, science fiction, suspense, etc?
Anything about the cover?
No, that's not it. I think it's science fiction - I think they might maybe have found a time machine and gone back in time to find their Dad or somebody. An older male. But the creatures in the cave were not dinosaurs and they were not in the cave all that long.

No problem. On a side note, they adapted that book into an after school special here at http://youtu.be/f_7XPErKIag but it's truncated and without the cave scene.

Tuxedotwig--do you want to move this down to Solved Or leave it here until you have a chance to actually get your hands on a copy?
If you can't get a copy through ILL (Inter-Library Loan, for those not familiar with the initials) and don't mind paying an arm and a leg, then Amazon has several copies. http://www.amazon.com/The-Bunjee-Vent... Unfortunately, PBS (PaperBackSwap) doesn't seem to have any available.

I'm think I'm going to wait till I get a copy. I'm pretty sure this is the book, but I'm not positive. And wow those are expensive on Amazon!

Hi, sorry, I forgot about this thread for a bit. I haven't been able to find a copy of the book, but I'm 90% sure it is the right one.
