E M M A Luke sat in his room, staring at the empty side of the dorm. He had lived here over the summer just like the past few years, so here was nothin to unpack, nothing to decorate. Today was move in day, with new students and the returning assigned their rooms. What would this guy be like? Would he be a jerk? A nerd, a gamer, a punk rocker? He was a bit nervous like last year, but reminded himself that this person would probably be interesting no matter what. His side of the room, the right side, was decorated by his sister. A family picture sat on his plain dark cherry wood dresser, his wallet and charging phone sitting beside it. His bed was neatly made, with his favorite bedding a from his childhood, with airplanes and cars and trains all over them.

The walls were a beige- coffee color, the standard in all rooms. Above the headboard were pictures of him, his favorite cars, Abigail, his parents, Sammy, or other pictures he had taken himself. The small bathroom was clean, thanks to his neat freakishness, and the carpeted floor was spotless. The bathroom had his towel, some body wash and shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouth wash, otherwise clean. It was agonizing to wait for this new person, to sit inside when he could be elsewhere.

E M M A Luke's eyes shot to the door as someone opened it, at last his roommate had arrived. His blue eyes observed the teen, sporting a broad white grin. He rose to meet the guy, making his own judgements and calculations. He seemed fairly nice, but something was... Different. "Hey!" Luke greeted in his most friendly manner, his fingers digging into his back pockets. "I'm Luke Callaghan, I'm a senior," he offered, his hand extended to shake. His yes registered to what was written on his shirt, a bit unexpecting. He had no problem with it, but would things get awkward?

"Need help unpacking? I've been settled for a while now," he shrugged, plopping down on the covers of his own bed. He could hear hours down the hallways of guys reuniting with their buddies, as well as greetings of the new kids. He'd never seen him around before, and assumed he was new. Luke's mind wandered to his little sister, if she was okay in the stress of it all. She had the same roomie as last year, and they had definitely not gotten along.

E M M A Luke snorted with some relief, feeling the awkwardness being lifted as he talke to this Kayden kid. He shook his hand firmly, noticing that his new roommate seemed awful shy. And insecure. "Nice to meet ya," he nodded, a light atmosphere about him. "Ah, I thought so! Never seen you before, I've been here since freshman year," Luke shook his head, rolling his eyes. It had been a tough four years, but the place was the only home he and Abigail had. "Uh, let me know if you need help finding anything, I know this place pretty well," Luke explained, settling back into the propped pillows on his bed.

Luke shrugged nonchalantly, his offer having been turned down. He understood though, he wouldn't want a stranger unpacking his things. "Well, I guess I'll leave you to it," Luke grinned, a bit excited to meet a brand new student. He remembered the first day jitters combined with the agony of losing his parents. Hopping from his bed, Luke removed himsel from the room. He propped the door open into the hall to ventilate the air filtering through from their window. Luke greeted a few friends, hoping his sister would come by.

((Mind meeting his sister? Nothing important just to add! Unless there was something you wanted to happen))

E M M A ((Goodreads is so lame with notifications))
((If you ever wanna rp with someone else let me know! This is kinda an intro/ filler rp toget them acquainted I guess))

Luke managed to catch Abigail squeezing through the throb of people in the hallways, a bit of a panicked look on her face. He called her name from the open door, wanting to introduce his new roommate. The kid would need friends, so why not? Abigail nearly leapt into his arms, breathing heavily from running so much. "Geez, what chased you?" Luke teased, hugging his little sisters frail torso gently. "M-my roommates here, I don't wanna meet her...!" Abigail panicked, her voice trembling. She really hated new people, yet here he was to introduce his own roomie. "Can I... Stay with you a while?" She murmured timidly, glancing frequently back into the hallway.

"Of course, but you've gotta come meet someone, he's new," Luke shrugged. Abbi gave him a pleading look, but he persisted. She would either do it his way or go back outside. "Find," Abigail whispered, barely audible as she stepped inside the dorm. The door shut behind her, and Luke called out to kayden, still unpacking. "Hey, this is my sister, she's a sophomore as well," Luke beamed, hopping on his bed. "Say hi," Luke hissed with a look, his sister still standing by the door with her eyes turned to the floor.

"Hi," Abbi managed, offering a weak hesitant smile before scurrying to her brothers side. "She's pretty shy, but she talks after you get used to it," Luke rolled his eyes teasingly, poking her stomach. "Sto-op," she whined, hitting his arm. Abigail didnt like this situation either, but figured it was better than meeting her new roomie. The last roommate she had had made fun of her for being skinny, told her to go die, and mercilessly tormented her. What if this one was the same?

((Sorry that's long xD))

E M M A ((Okay coolness! ))

Abigail thought Kayden actually wasn't too bad, he wasnt anther one of Luke's obnoxious football players. The fact that he stuttered and had a hard time looking at people, like her, was a comfort in itself. She wouldn't have to worry about making conversations wih Luke's new buddy. Maybe Ty could even be friends, but Abigail didnt see herself becoming anyone's friend in the near future.

"So where ya from, kayden? Might as well get to know each other if were gonna be in the same room for a year," he suggested, shifting on the kids comforter's surface. Abbi plugged in her set of headphones, tuning them both out. Girls.

It was a goregous morning out, with the clean fall air breezing through the dorm, and the familiar sound of voices in the hallway an odd adjustment from the empty summer. He adjusted the light blue- turquoise button up flannel over his light blue jeans, white vans resting on his feet. Abigail sported her usual costume, with a white loose crop top and a chambray oversized shirt over it, a pair of black jean shorts on underneath. Her legs and arms were bony due to her weight issues from when she was a baby, as well as some bone disease that often made her sick and weak.

E M M A "That's cool, I've always wanted to go there," Luke sighed, imagining the beautiful beaches and the wonderful weather... New York was just so... Trashy. He loved the city of lights, but sometimes it Became too much for him. Luke yawned, waiting for kayden to finish unpacking what little he had brought. Maybe the packet for new kids had emphasized bringing only what they needed. Hm. As soon as the last case was slipped under the bed, like stood from his own to stretch his arms way above his head. "Come on, lets go take a tour, you're gonna need it," Luke smirked, leaving Abigail behind on his bed.

"You're leaving?" She squeaked, looking up from her phone with a fearful expression. A headphone had been pulled from one ear, soft music tones coming from them. "Yes, whether he comes with me or not," Luke shrugged, thinking of alternatives of what to do if kayden decided to stay behind.

E M M A "Boring? Really!" Luke blurted, incredulous. He stood at the front door, pleased when kayden accepted his offer. He wanted an excuse to go down to the cafeteria, again, so he could grab whatever snacks or leftovers remained. "It's a bit uh, crowded...." Luke murmured, opening the door cautiously. He slipped outside, and beckoned Kayden to follow.

Desperate not to be left behind, Abigail scurried along behind them in the busy halls. She was uncomfortable with all the deep voices and hooting, a football being tossed over her head. "Quit it!" Abbi howled when someone bumped against her accidentally, sending her up against the wall. Her shoulder was a bit scraped by the impact, but nothing she couldn't handle.

Soon they were out of the dorms, out Into the fresh air. Luke slowed his pace to let his sister and kayden catch up, and take a breather after what seemed like a nightmare in the dorms. "So over here, there's the boys dorms, there, girls, there, teachers..." Luke began, pointing out different buildings respectively to where they were located. Several students passed by, with nervous glances. Freshmen.

E M M A Abbi squeaked when kayden suddenly talked to her, a bit alarmed. It was her tendency to overreact to people who were nice, or who asked her such questions just because they cared. Or didnt. "Y-yes," Abbi mumbled, avoiding kaydens eyes and sidling up to her brother. Luke snorted at how Abigail was acting, what with her skitterishness and all. They had lived here for four years, and she still couldn't handle the first day. "Of course we have a library," Luke scoffed, enthusiastic about the whole tour. They took a detour over a courtyard, to the big library building. Books lined every shelf, both old and new, of evey genre. A computer section with the newest technology sat in a corner for projects, desks and comfortable chairs scattered about the library in an organized manner. "Here we are, you can check out as many books as you want with your ID," he gestured, stepping inside after Abigail.

E M M A ((Hey, there's a group already in the library, maybe see if he could join in with them :) or I'd have Abbi he stuck with kayden while Luke goes off with a friend idk))

message 11: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((Hahah that's okay, would you rather rp with Abigail or Luke? They could go maybe to the game center (gotta make that) or something))

message 12: by E M M A (new)

E M M A ((I swear I replied to this! I guess it didnt post.-. Anyway, I was thinking of leaving Abigail behind, she needs a buddy! And it'll be more fun because she's awkward! Wanna move it to... Maybe the hallways or the amphitheater gotta make that too ))
