Barbara H (barbhh) | 95 comments I don't know how many fans of William Tapply there are out there, but I was saddened to read of his death today in the Boston Globe at age 69. He wrote many, many mystery and fishing books, usually with locations around New England.

Babette | 6 comments I did not know of William Tapply, but just looked him up. Have added him to my list of mysteries to read. Death is always sad.

Eric_W (ericw) | 8 comments I did not know this. Very sad news. I've read and enjoyed many of his mysteries.

Bill | 5 comments I also did not hear of his death. Very sad. I interviewed him several years ago for a video interview series with mystery writers and found him a charming and thoughtful man.

Barbara H (barbhh) | 95 comments That would describe his writing also. I have read many, many of his mysteries. His main character, Brady Coyne, is probably a mirror of Tapply.
