You are cracking me up Joseph! I am going to be stopping by the Dollar Store and a brand new 25,000 sq ft Goodwill to see if they have any hidden treasures!:) Keep your fingers crossed :)
Cheap cookbooks i love. I got a giant over 500 pages of these cookie recipes for like 4 bucks at Acmoore. and i got a hamburger cookbook (all types of ways to make hamburgers) for 2 book in borders when they have sales. well i like anything cheap really
I have a couple books awaiting in my online shopping cart. Though I am going to try and wait for "reward" I am really looking forward to these books. I recently bought Seven Nights of Sin by Lacey Alexander and Menagerie by Lara Santiago for a friend in a swap contest.
So my stop at Dollar Tree was a bust, but I hit paydirt at the goodwill, I bought 6 books last friday, technically it was still July so I ended up with over 20 books purchased in July.... But here is what I ended up with:Personal Demon

I got a 40% off coupon in my email today from borders! this is so not helping me control my book buying. You just can't pass up a coupon like that. It looks like ill be back at borders. They should really know my name by now.

P.S. At my local Borders, they do know my name. I get greeted by the cashiers as I walk in. lol
I got the coupon, and had to go use it. I got the newest Lora Leigh book Bengal's Heart. I also grabbed 2 books from the $1 rack. This month I have also bought books from B&N.com and from bookdepository.com. Still waiting on all of those.

Lauren, that's my plan. I never buy from Borders unless I have a coupon, but this one is really burning a hole in my pocket. You see %25 or %30 off every so often, but %40? I talked myself out of stopping there after work today, but I don't know if I'll be able to convince myself to do that again tomorrow. Wish me luck, towards achieving or not achieving going, I'm not sure. lol

Well I went to Borders and took hubby so I could get two books wit the 40% off. I bought Destined For An Early Grave and Faefever. That brings this weeks grand total of books bought to 19. On top of that I am watching about 10 more books on eBay. I need some serious help!!!!

On the other hand, I also walked out of the library today with four used books. That makes five books my total purchase quota for this month. So far.

Looloo, this is not working right! We're supposed to be trying to help each other stop buying so much, not buy more! lol. I convinced my sister to go back with me to Borders today so I could use two more 40% off coupons to get the two other books I wanted: The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane and The Jewel of Medina. That makes seven for me now. We don't need 12 steps away, we need 120! lol
I haven't bought any since wednesday!!!! Im so proud of myself lol

I fell off the wagon again. I just bought 4 more books off eBay. I think that brings my total to 23 for Aug. and it's only the 9th of the month. This must stop!
Wow Looloo thats a lot so far hehehe.My goal is to read all the unread books I own first unless there is a good deal or sale that I must go to. I have about 3 stacks haven't counted them all but i would at least 20 of them are unread. im calling it the book spending diet! haha

I'm trying to read one library book and then one book I own but haven't read. Sometimes I'm better at it than others. So far it's 157 library books to 111 books I own but hadn't read.
I counted them last night and there is 43 i own that i have not read. I have some really good ones too where i should not need to buy any the rest of the month at least. Unless there is a fantastic sale somewhere

I understand. I have alot at home too that when i go out and come home with another books its like ok did i really need that book right now with all these others sitting here..
As for the library... I like to own my books cause its too much pressure for me to read with a time limit hehehe. Plus my library doesn't ever have what I want at the time.

I have an adding books addiction too. Gees all morning I must have added about 30 books. Wonder how many i can add in the afternoon.
I ordered from a place online called bookdepository.com. It says on the site free world wide shipping. My books came today, and they came from the UK! I was surprised. I got Dominicfor $9, Destined for an Early Grave for $4, and Sweet Persuasion for 7.49. Those are good prices! With no shipping fee!

Joseph I saw that coupon too. I litterly said a really bad word when I saw that. But Im trying to be strong. I said my next book to but would be Covet and that comes out at the end of september.

But then again, 40% off a paperback is hard to pass up. I'm sure if I just go browsing, I'll find something, which may or may not be such a good thing. lol

Its so hard to pass up. I acutally didn't print my coupon yet. I am too chicken to delete it but so far strong enough not to print it.

I don't like Borders as much as I used to. I used to love their book displays, I thought they were much, much better than B&N's book displays. Now they're more equal and less interesting. A sign of the financial times, I'm afraid.
