First Edition still or Second Edition? Advice sought

I've heard from several sources that it's normal to continue calling it a 1st Edition if they're small changes. I've made very minor alterations and continued to call a book a 1st edition.
I agree with Thomas. Unless something major changes, it's more of a tweak. I get the impression changing the edition is really only useful in nonfiction when the information is updated to reflect changes.
Yeah, if all you're doing is tweaking the mechanics and adding extras at the end, you're still in a first edition.
Thank you very, very much for answering so quickly and saying exactly what I wanted you to say! The non-fiction info makes good sense.
I thought that was right but thought I ought to check.
I had my first novel re-edited and added some content at the beginning and ending regarding other books by me, my social media contacts, etc. I didn't change anything in the book necessarily (aside from what needed editing), and i uploaded it to Amazon as the first edition.

Mostly I am adding some info at the end regarding other books I have written, though I have caught a few errors which had slipped through.
What constitutes making it into a Second Edition?
Any advice will be much appreciated.
