This was a classic I read as a child that I'd like to read again. I think it was two children who either find or are left a variety of toys or objects all magical. I remember one specific object that were a pair of shoes and whenever the person took a step forward they'd be transported to another land.

It was a beautiful book and I am hoping someone remembers it.
