Picked it up in middle school library back around 2010. Cover was blue with illustration of dark-haired girl wearing red cloak and medieval dress. Believe MC's name was Ilena or something similar.

Plot: Christian girl lives in pagan village in medieval Britain, shortly after arrival of Romans. Her father died and he left her a bag containing items which led to her going on a quest. She met an older man (I think) and fell in love with him. There was a sequel where he died.
