series in foreign language

Hi. When trying to add books to a series by Colin Wilson the book Religion and the Rebel keeps appearing as the Arabic edition and not the English one. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

On a series page, the default edition will always show. Default edition is the one that is most shelved/added. The Arabic edition is added by 267 people, the English edition you linked to by 148 people.

Fair enough but not everyone can read English and Arabic. Thus the series list would be a bit unhelpful or even confusing. I've noticed some Arabic authors have an Arabic and English profiles separate. Would this help separate language editions?

Books with the same content, no matter the language, should be combined.

For authors with names in a different spelling/language (like Arabic and English), it is policy that all books have the English spelling as primary author, and Arabic spelling as secondary author, so the books can be combined. So there will always be two separate author profiles, one for each language. When the books are not combined yet, it is because no-one has requested to combine them.
